Spider Family: The Next Generation

Chapter 6

Mayday was all kinds of pissed right now, she was attacked by Night Spider, or Felicity, twice and left webbed to a wall. Then comes to find out that Felicity is Peters daughter with Felicia who also wound up here and wanted to get her parents together and now the four of them were headed to her mothers apartment so that they can rehash everything again.

"I can't believe you said they could come." May said a little sourly to her father.

"Come on May I couldn't just ignore them. She's exactly like you." Peter tried to explain.

"She's nothing like me." She snapped back.

"I mean she ended up here too, like you did." He corrected.

"That doesn't mean anything." She said.

"Yes it does May. She wanted to see me and Felicia. You want to see MJ." He calmly explained.

May was silent for the rest of the swing over to her mothers apartment. Felicia and Felicity had remained silent as May and Peter conversed and didn't involve themselves after they finished.

They soon approached an apartment complex that was the home of Mary Jane Watson, Peter swung around to the side where her window was located as the others followed his lead.

He landed on the side of the building and climbed up to the appropriate window and hopped onto the fire escape, he gently knocked on the window hoping to her her attention.

It wasn't long after that the familiar face of Mary Jane Watson emerged and she strutted over to the window and opened it for the wall crawler.

"Hey Pete." She greeted.

"Hey MJ." He returned.

"So what brings you round here?" She questioned playfully.

"Well... that's the thing, it's not just me." He said scratching the back of his masked head.

From behind Peter, MJ could see someone descending in a similar way he does when hanging from his webs. The figure stood behind Peter and slowly walked forward so MJ could see them more clearly, they wore a spider suit that was awfully similar to his own but they stood shorter than he did.

"Who is this?" MJ asked looking at the new spider person slowly make their way forward.

"MJ... this is Spider-Girl." Peter introduced as she began to remove her mask. "Otherwise known as... Mayday Parker." Peter finished. He turned to loose over at MJ again and she was completely wide eyed at his introduction.

"M-Mayday?" She hesitantly said as tears started to form, she brought her hands up to her mouth in an attempt to hold back her gasps.

"Hi... mom." She greeted with her own tears forming.

MJ rushed forward, leaning out the window and brought her into a hug. Neither of them could hold back their tears and the slowly fell down their cheeks, Peter watched silently as the two of them embraced each other he expected this kind of reaction when he would bring them together but he was thinking about how she would react with the next big surprise.

"Oh May. Is it really you?" MJ asked quietly.

"Yea mom. It's me." Mayday replied just as quietly.

They broke off a little as MJ got a good look at her daughter. She had short auburn coloured hair, a perfect blend of both her and Peters hair. A set of green eyes like her own and of course she would inherit her fathers powers, hence the suit.

"You're so beautiful." She said smiling.

"Thanks, mom." She thanked bringing her mother back into a brief hug.
