Researcher Ikuya Ogura had arrived at the base not long ago, joining the commotion and disaster, if Ruri could describe it.

"Get the camera footage from the facility. Now!" Tosaki demands the researchers.

They do as told, and reveal numerous camera footage taken from angle to angle connecting to the large screen. Only to witness Sato massacring the police and surgeons, flash of shooting guns, and bloody body in every camera. And there with him, is their runaway case, Nagai Kei.

"This is strange." Slowly, Ruri's gaze averts to her colleague, Tosaki. "What are your assertions?"

He's rimmed in his wrath of silence and doesn't bother to reply.  "...colonel." He calls. "Colonel Kouma!"

"What is it?" Their colonel faces him.

"The Anti-Ajin special group... how fast can you call for them?"

The colonel grimaces. "Are you fucking kidding me?" He looks at the distressed man. "The Anti-Ajin is for when measures with the other species worsen! It's nothing more than a temporary unit to be launched when the time is short."

He points at the researchers behind. "Right now we still haven't even found any counter-measures against the 'other species' power. So, there is no way I will send my subordinates out there!" He turns to give Tosaki. "Listen here Tosaki, you may be close friends with your boss, and with the big shots here... but I am the one who commands the troops. Got that?"

It looks like the Ajin Control Commission has gotten into a stressful matter, it'll be a matter of time before they're kicked to a dead end. If Ruri hadn't known any better, things would have been far more situated. But in this case, she could only look back at the footage of Nagai with such a blank face... captured and subtle.

"Why didn't The Hat use the power of the other species?" Tosaki questions unbelievably.

"What?!" The colonel voices.

Tosaki glares at him. "Shouldn't that be our way of approaching the matter?" He suggests. "I don't know the reason why, but, this day he could not use it—which means, today might be our chance to beat them!"

"No."

Tosaki and the colonel glance at the interruptive chime belonging to Ruri.

"What?" He husks.

She turns to him. "It's like attacking a beehive in a blindfold, Tosaki-san.." she sighs softly. "We're not aware of their advantages at all, so..."

"So what? What are you implying?" Tosaki asks.

Ruri's eyebrows raise at him with her profound gaze. "Sending in troops with no knowledge is too extreme and reckless in our circumstances. We can't take risks," she replays Sato's slithering wolf smile. "... those damn bees will know right where to sting."

A low raspy chuckle takes the room. "Spoken like a true genius."

"Ogura-Hakase... what do you think?" The colonel asks the chuckling man.

"Did you not hear your fellow woman colleague?" Ogura takes a whiff of his cigarette before exhaling it. "But the IBM is not as omnipotent as you guys think..." he takes another whiff, "so, they have a few weaknesses to be taken advantage of..."
