lonesome - Sabrina Carpenter

April wakes up in her bed, feeling guilty for cheating on Eden. She can't bear the thought of keeping it a secret from him any longer. She picks up her phone and dials his number, her heart pounding in her chest as she waits for him to answer.

"Hey," Eden answers, his voice sounding groggy.

"Hey, Eden," April says softly, trying to steady her nerves. "There's something I need to tell you."

"What is it?" Eden asks, his tone becoming more alert.

"I... I cheated on you," April blurts out, tears welling up in her eyes.

There's a moment of silence on the other end of the line, and April can feel her heart racing faster than ever before. She knows that this is a big deal, and she's terrified of what Eden's reaction will be.

"What do you mean?" Eden asks, his voice low and dangerous.

"I mean that I slept with Tom," April admits, her voice barely above a whisper.

Another pause.

"You slept with him?" Eden says, his voice rising in anger. "How could you do this to me, April? I trusted you!"

"I'm sorry," April sobs. "I don't know what came over me. I was feeling so lost and confused and I just... I made a mistake."

Eden's voice is cold and distant now. "I can't believe you would do something like this. You broke my heart, April."

"I know," April whispers, tears streaming down her face. "I don't expect you to forgive me, but I had to tell you. I couldn't keep it a secret anymore."

There's a long pause, and April can hear Eden's breathing on the other end of the line.

"I need some time to think," he finally says. "I don't know if I can forgive you for this, April. I need to decide what I want to do."

"I understand," April says, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'll give you all the time you need."

"Goodbye, April," Eden says, his voice cold and distant.

"Goodbye," April says, feeling a lump form in her throat.

She hangs up the phone and falls back onto her bed, her tears flowing freely. She knows that she's made a huge mistake, and she doesn't know if there's any way to fix it. All she can do now is wait and hope that Eden will eventually find it in his heart to forgive her.

After April called and confessed everything to Eden, she went to rehearsal with the band feeling a mix of guilt and anxiety. She tried to push those thoughts aside and focus on the music.

As they were playing, Tom walked in as if nothing had happened between him and April. He grabbed his guitar and started playing without saying a word to her. April couldn't help but feel a twinge of hurt at his coldness.

Gustav noticed the tension in the air and decided to break the ice. "Hey, April, did you see the reviews for our last show? They were amazing!"

April tried to smile and engage with the conversation, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that Tom was purposely avoiding her.

"Tom, do you want to try that chorus again?" Bill asked, gesturing towards his guitar.

Tom nodded and played the chords, but he kept his gaze on the instrument instead of making eye contact with anyone in the room.
