Sam absolutely hated her life, that was, until she met Danny. Her best friend/ boyfriend. They still weren't sure where they were at in the relationship status bars. She was going over to his house today, so she was going through her closet trying to find the perfect dress. She just grabbed one of her simple ones and got dressed. She put on her military boots, grabbed her backpack, and ran out the house before her parents could stop her. It didn't take her long to get to her boyfriend's house.
Sam knocked on the door of the Phenton's house. Maddie Phenton, Danny's mom, opened the door. She seemed worried.
"Is everything okay Mrs.Phenton?" Sam asked, knowing all too well that when his mother was worried, there was a massive problem at hand.

"I haven't seen Danny since he went to school yesterday morning. I've already called Tucker, but he says he hasn't seen him since school ended yesterday afternoon. And it looks like he's not with you either," Maddie said.

" Well, I mean, he does tend to run off from time to time. He literally saved the world remember?" Sam spoke, now worried herself. Then her phone rang. It was Tucker. She answered his call.

      "Yes Tucker?"

"Has Danny contacted you at all since he left school yesterday?" Tucker spoke over the phone, his voice shaking.

"No, is he answering your calls?"

" No. I've been trying to get ahold of him since his mother called me three hours ago."

"Give me moment. I'll let you if I'm able to get ahold of him after I try," Sam replied, wondering what was going on. She then tried calling Danny.

The phone rang thrice before he picked up.

"Danny what is going on?" Sam asked in confusion.

"..... ick..... for... night... time.... pit.... renegade..." Danny's voice was cutting out so Sam couldn't hear the whole message, but she did understand that this was a big deal.

"Danny?"

"Well, crap ola," Sam said, angrily.

Sam called Tucker back, and told him what she heard Danny say. (At this point Maddie had invited her into the house for some tea and cookies.)

"Sam, was there anything in the background? Any noise?" Tucker asked, trying to make sense of what was going on.

"No. I didn't hear anything. It was just static noises," Sam replied.

"Well, this'll be fun."
