Almost two months into therapy and Kellin seemed much better. He hadn't cut since I had first found out and he was still a year and four months sober. It was finally summer, and we were finally happy.

The therapist had put him on an anti-depressant called Celexa. He had been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and the only major side effect of Celexa was insomnia, which didn't seem to be affecting him. I still returned home from the studio every day with worry. Going on tour was dreadful because I didn't have anyone to check on Kellin for me. My family was on vacation, Jaime and Tony were with me, Danielle had work, and even Kellin's friends Tay and Jenna were busy. Luckily, when I returned home, I was pleased to hear that he was alive, okay, and had attended every therapy session while I was away. He had even bought tickets for my show in California and surprised me backstage. I just hoped he would stay okay.

I woke up at 8:25 AM to my alarm, reminding me to wake up and take my meds. The alarm was really only for when Vic wasn't home, as he would always make sure I took them. He was my own personal alarm. I always took the full 40 mg in the morning, which was dreadful. Who made the brilliant decision to take them at 8:30 in the morning?

Vic came in with a breakfast tray and sat on the edge of the bed.

"Good morning, love." He smiled, placing the tray on my lap. "I made you breakfast."

"I see." I returned his smile. "What did you make?"

"So, we've got pancakes, hot chocolate, strawberry slices, a glass of water, and your meds." He thought for a moment. "Oh yeah, what topping do you want for your pancakes?"

"I think today's a chocolate syrup kind of day." I grinned as he returned to the kitchen to retrieve the Hershey's chocolate syrup.

When he returned, I couldn't read his expression.

"So, I have some news..." I tilted my head, urging him to continue. "I'm going on tour again. Like, really soon."

"When? Where? You can't just say that and spare me the details." I giggled as pink tinted his cheeks.

"Well, it's only a week. I'll be going through Mexico and South America. I'm leaving on the tenth. I feel horrible, though."

"Why?"

"I only just came back from my last tour, now I'm leaving again." He frowned.

"Yeah, but you pushed the Misadventures tour back by over a month for me. I'll be okay, Vic."

"But you can't even come to see me this time." He slid his hand into mine. "Did I tell you how glad I was that you came?"

"It was only one night." I chuckled.

"Yeah, but I got to spend the evening with the love of my life backstage." He smiled, then scoffed.

"Ugh, I'm gonna miss you so much." I ruffled his chocolate-coloured hair, squeezing his hand. "Promise me you'll take care of yourself while I'm gone?"

"I promise."

I patted the bed beside me, making room for Vic to sit down. He slid under the covers and rested his head on my shoulder. We stayed like that, content, for the rest of the morning.

I woke up to the usual headache and fifteen worried messages from Vic. I had stopped taking my meds, so I couldn't sleep very well. I prayed the insomnia would take a break for the night, seeing as I had a flight to catch in the morning. My phone buzzed with another notification from Vic.
