The Red Lantern (Young Justice X Male Reader)

Chapter 1:Independence Day (part 1)

-Coast City, July 4, 2010, 11:27 EDT-

It was another normal day in Coast City, with people enjoying the sun, with kids even getting Ice-cream due to the heat.

Of course, that doesn't mean crime was going to stop. As people were enjoying their day, two white vans with penguins painted on the sides raced through the streets, chased by cop cars.

"Penguin Thug 1:God dammit, why did the boss have to send us here?!"

"Penguin thug 2:Just shut up and drive! We have to get away before-!"

Suddenly, a thin red beam cut the van perfectly in half, causing the two halves to slowly drift apart, before finally coming to a stop.

As the police handcuffed the thugs, and confiscated all the weapons inside the now destroyed van, two Superheroes watched from the sidelines, eating Ice-cream.

Green Lantern, and his sidekick and member of the Red Lantern Corps of Rage, Red Lantern. Who was in fact a boy from Gotham City named (Y/N) (L/N).

"Green Lantern:Nice job, kid."

"(Y/N):Thanks."

As (Y/N) began walking away, his mentor seemed a bit surprised and confused.

"Green Lantern:Aren't you even a little excited?"

"(Y/N):Course I am. Today's the day after all."

-Washington D.C. 13:59-

Now, Green Lantern and his partner could be seen arriving outside the Hall Of Justice in Washington, meeting Batman, Green Arrow, and Aqua-Man. All of whom had their respective Sidekicks with them.

Robin, Speedy, and Aqua-Lad.

"Green Lantern:Sorry for the delay. Someone wanted an extra scoop of Ice-cream."

"(Y/N):You know it calms me down. We don't want another Sinestro Incident, do we?"

Green Lantern just put his hands up in surrender while smiling, though his sidekick didn't visibly smile.

As Green Lantern put his hands down, Aqua-Lad walked over and held out his hand towards (Y/N), with the Red Lantern shaking it.

"Aqua-Lad:I am Aqua-Lad. It's a pleasure to finally meet you."

"(Y/N):Just call me Red Lantern for now, and trust me, it shouldn't be a pleasure to meet someone from the Red Lantern Corps."

Hearing that made the Sidekick of Green Arrow, Speedy, speak up out of curiosity.

"Speedy:And why's that, exactly? Aren't you just Green Lantern but with a colour change?"

"(Y/N):Yes, but by Power Ring also replaced all of my blood with the most corrosive substance in existence, which I can vomit up on command."

"Speedy:Damn."

"(Y/N):It gets worse, but that's a conversation for another day. By the way, where's Flash?"

Right at that second, Flash and his Sidekick Kid Flash appeared after running up faster then most of them could see.

And Kid Flash did not seem happy about being the last ones to arrive.

"Kid Flash:I knew we'd be the last ones here!"

"(Y/N):Fastest people alive, and yet your always late. How ironic."

After Kid Flash sent a glare at the Red Lantern, while Green Lantern tried to suppress a chuckle, the Superheroes and their Sidekicks began walking towards The Hall Of Justice, having a crowd of fans that were crowded around the 'base' taking pictures of them along the way.
