No one was blaming the Eagles Super Bowl loss on Jalen Hurts' shoulder injury.

Some delusional, die-hard fans were but no sensible person used it as an excuse. Philadelphia made key mistakes that caused them to lose that game after having a 10-point halftime lead. It wasn't because of any reason, other than self-inflicted wounds.

You have to wonder, though, if there was a fully healthy Jalen Hurts in the Super Bowl, would the Eagles have lost that game?

Those thoughts haunted Jalen's brain during the off season. He didn't use it as an excuse because he believed in his heart that the Chiefs won fair and square, but he couldn't help but to think about being healthy in the big game.

"I'm surprised you wanted to meet in the middle of the offseason." Howie, the GM of the Eagles, said to Jalen as they sat in his office. "What's up?"

Jalen cleared his throat. "I'm thinkin' 'bout like... hiring a trainer or somethin'. Shoulder still givin' me some trouble and I'on wanna mess it up some mo'."

"Well, that's great. We can run some X-rays with team doctors to make sure there's no structural damage then we could have a short to long term trainer out here by tomorrow."

There wasn't much to be said about Jalen.

He took his job pretty seriously and didn't enjoy playing child games. The quarterback put his heart and soul into his work and didn't care for much else.

Jalen wasn't always serious but something along the way pushed him to be that guy. Maybe it was being doubted as a quarterback through high school and college but whatever it was, turned him into a more serious version of himself.

The crazy thing was, Jalen had a girlfriend.

The pair had been on and off since college and despite how borderline toxic they were, he just couldn't seem to shake her.

He didn't think Bri was a bad person and he wasn't a bad person either, but Jalen often struggled to see how the were good for each other.

"Thanks, boss."

Then, Jalen was off to tend to his girlfriend who he'd probably be arguing with by the end of the night.

Reese hated the city of Philadelphia already.

It wasn't too different from Athens, Georgia and that was probably what she disliked about it the most.

She grew up in North Carolina but moved to Georgia for college. Both Reese and her brother Jordan Davis went to the University of Georgia. He was now in the league playing for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Reese transferred from Georgia to Penn State to be closer to the rest of her family, who now lived in Philly. She was entering her final year of college this fall and she couldn't wait to graduate.

She liked to say she was a good person and in a lot of ways, she was. Reese was just so absurdly spoiled that it was borderline frustrating.

The soccer player was turning 22 later this year but all her parents saw was their baby girl, Reese Davis, and made sure she had everything she wanted and needed despite her being highly capable of doing things herself.

"You excited for new teammates?" Her mother asked as they sat down for lunch. "At Penn State, you actually have the chance to compete for a championships."

Reese rubbed her eyes, holding her purse in her lap as she engaged in talks with her Mom. "I'm really just trying to win soccer games. As long as my team wants to win, I'm cool with everything else."

Not only had Reese and Jordan's parents bred a huge defensive lineman in their son, their daughter was the highest ranked goalie in college soccer in the entire country. She'd only given up 7 goals last year.
