It was just another day in the fiery realm of Zaven, but for Ignis, it was the day his life was going to take another unprecedented turn. The Queen Phoenix, a motherly figure to him now, led him deep into the heart of the kingdom. Inside a secluded cavern, the walls pulsed with a warm, orange glow, as if they were alive.
"This is the core of Zaven, Ignis," Phoenix began, her voice bouncing off the cavern walls, "The Ignition Point."
In the center of the cavern, a massive fire roared, casting long shadows that danced on the walls. Its ferocity was both terrifying and mesmerizing. Suddenly, it began to change, taking on a shape that looked surprisingly human. Ignis realized it was the form of a blacksmith, hammering away at an unseen anvil.
"This is Hephaestus, the First Smith. It's time you learn about the ancient art of Flame Forging," Phoenix said, her gaze fixed on the fiery blacksmith. "You see, every king of Zaven has been a Flame Forger, able to shape fire into weapons and tools."
Ignis felt his heart pounding as he watched the phantom blacksmith work, sparks flying off with each strike of the hammer. The idea of controlling and shaping fire felt daunting, yet there was an undercurrent of excitement too.
"Today, you will make your first attempt at Flame Forging, Ignis," Phoenix said, turning towards him.
Guided by Phoenix's steady hand and encouraging words, Ignis stood before the fire, reaching out with trepidation. The flames danced around his hand, seemingly eager to respond to his touch. Phoenix's voice was a soothing backdrop as he started to shape the fire, his mind whirling with concentration.
The fire responded to him, becoming malleable under his control. He could feel a connection, a sense of understanding between himself and the flames. Ignis managed to shape the fire into a simple tool, a small blade. Although it wasn't much, it was a start.
"Very good, Ignis," Phoenix said, her voice filled with pride. "You are a natural."
That night, Ignis lay in his bed, the lingering warmth of the fire still on his skin. He replayed the events of the day, the feeling of the flames responding to his command. A sense of purpose filled him. This was his path, his destiny.
He was here for a reason. He was chosen for a purpose. He was the future Flame King, and he would do whatever it took to protect Zaven.
