We walked up to the group and saw Sam and Tara on the phone with someone. "Hey, what's going on?" I let go of Ethan's hand and ran to the rest of Core 5. It turns out they hatched a plan to lure Ghostface and kill him. "Wait, how are we going to lure him?" I take the phone from them, skeptical about the whole plan.
"Gale gave us the keycards to the theater; there are going to be cameras, and we can use them against him. I'll tell Kirby to meet us there." I hear Detective Bailey's voice from the phone, and all of us look at each other.
"Got it," Tara says as she takes the phone back from me. "Remember to travel in a public space so there are people around you. "There's less chance of Ghostface getting a chance to kill you all before coming there," Bailey says, and we all nodded in agreement. "Okay, thanks." Tara hangs up.
I take a deep breath, taking in this information. A hand brushes against my hand and interlocks with it. Ethan looks down at me with tenderness in his eyes. He gives a small smile and rubs his thumb against mine. A wave of calmness washes over me, making me ignore what I saw in Ethan's bag. It was probably something else, like a water bottle.
"Alright, let's go," Tara says, smirking at me as she notices what's happening with me and Ethan. I shyly smile back, letting go of Ethan's hand while I take my stuff to go. We all headed to the train station together after everyone prepared their stuff.

"Is this even a good plan?" Ethan asks as we walk down the stairs to the train station. We were all squished together due to the Halloween crowd. "You don't have to come if you don't want to," Tara replies. "Peel off, and the killer picks us off one by one; no thank you," Ethan says, rolling his eyes as he tightens his hold on my hand.
"Let's just hurry to the theater," Sam says as we attempt to push through a bunch of people. Sam, Tara, Danny, Chad, and I managed to get on the train. I sighed in relief, but then I realized that Ethan's hand wasn't holding mine anymore.
"Guys!" I turn around and see Mindy still pushing through the crowd, with Ethan also left behind. "Tara,Tara!" I tap her shoulder aggressively as I try to get her attention. "Mindy and Ethan," I say as Tara turns around and her face drops.
"Fuck," we both swear as the train door closes just before Mindy and Ethan can get in. We walked back to Sam, Danny, and Chad and stood there as there were no more seats. The train was packed with people in costumes, some even in Ghostface costumes. We cautiously looked around us; there were quite a number of ghosts.
"Uh, how many stops until ours, Sam?" I ask with some shakiness in my voice. Sam looks at the sign and sighs. "10 stops," she says, and we all look at each other nervously.
The atmosphere becomes tense as we notice all the ghosts around us. Any of them could be the real killer, and we wouldn't know. I whip out my phone as a distraction, trying to get rid of the uneasiness I feel.
"Ugh, come on," I mumbled to myself as I left my phone up, trying to get a signal. I was attempting to message Ethan, hoping he and Mindy were alright. Eventually, I gave up and shoved my phone back into my bag.
We noticed a ghost staring at us, and my body stiffened, gripping the hand pole tightly. The train stopped, and people started to get off. He started walking towards me, and I started to panic. I shifted closer to Sam and Tara.
Just as he came closer to us, Danny stood in front of us to protect us if we got attacked. I noticed him stare at the ghost face harshly. Turns out, it wasn't the killer. The ghostface turns to the train door and leaves the train. We all let out a breath of relief.
Now all my mind was thinking about was Ethan and Mindy. Are they okay? Did they get attacked? What if the killer is with them? All these negative thoughts started to fill my head as we were on our way to the theater.

After what felt like a million years, we finally reached our stop and headed to the abandoned theater. We see Kirby, and we walk closer to her. "I talked to Bailey and got everything set up," Kirby says as she looks over at us. "Where are Mindy and Ethan?" she asks, furrowing her brows in confusion, and we explain to her that they were left behind but are coming soon.
"Alright, let's get you all inside," Kirby says and starts walking. Sam stops in front of Danny. "No, not you," she says with a hint of sadness. "What?" Danny asks, confused. "I don't trust anyone, remember. I don't know you, not really," Sam says softly.
"You know me," Danny says, looking softly at Sam. "You're not Woodboro; I'm sorry," Sam apologizes, but Danny understands. "It's okay, it's okay. I get it. Be safe," he says before he kisses her on the cheek. He steps back, and the rest of us follow Kirby to the theater.
We entered the theater and went through the cage door thing. "I cleared the whole place before you all arrived. So this is the only way in or out. When Ghostface steps through the first door, both doors will close. Leaving him trapped in there. We turn it into like a killbox," Kirby explains, and she locks the cage with a chain.
"Weapons?" Sam asks. "One gun, I hold onto it. I'm the only one with a badge here, okay?" Kirby replies, and Sam rolls her eyes. "We're safe," Kirby reassures us as we all stare at her. We all separated, Tara and Chad going off somewhere, Kirby going somewhere else too, and I'm left with Sam.
As I try messaging Ethan again, there is still no reply. Sam's phone started ringing, and she answered. I continue texting him, but then Sam suddenly starts to panic. "Lauren, we've got to get out of here," Sam says as she hangs up the phone. She runs towards the door, dragging me along, still confused. She tries to pry it open, but nothing works.
"What's going on, Sam?" I ask worriedly as Sam tries to bust open the door. "It's Kirby; she's Ghostface!" Sam revealed it to me, and I widened my eyes in shock. Suddenly, all the lights cut out, leaving us in complete darkness. "We have to find Tara and Chad now," Sam says, and we go look for them.
