●・○・●・○・●"No..." I say under my breath, and I stare at him with teary eyes in disbelief. "Sorry, Lauren," he says, not sounding genuine, which pained me even more. "Tadaa!" Bailey says, and the tears in my eyes start to spill and my nostrils start to flare.
"Mindy was right," he says, staring at all three of us. "It was easy to juke the roommate lottery. I mean, all I had to do to meet you was sit in a room with a conceded, condescending alpha. Literally named Chad, fuck it felt good to kill him!" Ethan smiles at me while saying this.
"How could you? You fucking traitor!" I step forward and yell at him with my tear-stained face. "Oh, come on, Lauren, you're no better," he smirks and looks down on me. "Don't forget that you're a traitor too! You may have moved on, but the others might not have," he says, and he comes closer to whisper to me. "Traitor," he whispers to me, and I turn around to see Sam and Tara just staring at me,but not in a friendly way anymore.
I chuckled dryly and looked directly at Sam and Tara. "You still think I'm a traitor because of my feelings for Amber, don't you?" Sam sighs and looks at Tara, then back at me. "Sorry Lauren, but-" Ethan interrupts her, "See! You're not their friend; you're nobody to them. You are nobody," Ethan whispers to my ear. I shook my head and shoved him away from me, walking backward closer to Sam and Tara. I'm letting another person manipulate me again.
I shook my head as tears streamed down my face. "Shut up!" I snapped at him and joined back up with Sam and Tara. Ethan lifts his mask and points the bloody knife at it. "This was your grandmother's, Sam. Nancy Loomis, it really runs in your fucking family, doesn't it?" Ethan says it with bitterness at the end.
"Speaking of family, my name's not Ethan Landry! "Is it dad?" He turns to Bailey, his father, with a twisted smile on his face. "Dad?" I mumble to myself. "Wait if it's you too, then that leaves," Sam says as she turns to the other Ghostface. "Mindy?" she finally says, hoping it wasn't her.
"Hey roomies," a female voice says as she takes off the mask and smirks at us. "You didn't see that coming, did you?" Quinn says it with the same twisted smile as Ethan. We all stared at her in shock and confusion. "Hey roomies," a female voice says as she takes off the mask and smirks at us. "You didn't see that coming, did you?" Quinn says it with the same twisted smile as Ethan. We all stared at her in shock and confusion. "Yeah, because you kind of died," Tara yells.
"Well, I kind of didn't, but it was a good way to get off the suspect list," Quinn shrugs. "Stab Gale Weathers, Stab Mindy on the train," she continues as she stares us down. "And I just had to make sure I was first on scene to switch her bodies," Bailey says. "With some fake blood and a prosthetic, you'd be amazed at how much a grinning father can get away with," Bailey says as he grins at us, Ethan and Quinn spitting up and creeping around the shrine cases.
"I got Stu Macher's mask, my favorite," Quinn says as she walks by the shrine cases. "That's number three, and that's number two, which leaves your father's," Bailey says, taking out Billy Loomis' mask as he only looks at Sam."
"This is what we've been counting down to for Sam. I need you to wear it," Bailey explains as he holds the mask toward Sam. "Fuck you!" Sam curses as she shoves the mask away from her and out of his hands. Ethan steps forward and slashes Sam's arm, and he laughs. "Stay the fuck away from her!" Tara defends her sister.
I stare at Ethan in horror; this isn't the sweet, dorky Ethan I knew and loved anymore. It pained me to see him like this-this psychotic murderer. Suddenly, I think back to all the things he told me-was it all a lie? Did he mean all those sweet things he said to me? Did he really love me? Did the kiss we shared at the hospital mean anything to him? Did I mean it to him?
All these thoughts clouded my head, and he noticed my gaze. I swear I saw some sadness, maybe even disappointment, on his face. As if he regrets doing this. But he quickly changes back to his cold and evil gaze.
"What is this? You all did this as a family," Sam says as she holds her bloody arm. "Bitch, you know better than anyone," Quinn says with resentment in her voice, creeping closer to us with the knife.
"They're still not getting it," Ethan says with his still-twisted smile as he holds the knife up. "Look, I don't know what you believe, but I didn't commit those murders in Woodsboro!" Sam says defensively to Bailey:
"No, we know that; of course you didn't. Do you think this is based on bullshit conspiracy theories? Who did you think started those rumors about you?" Bailey says as he looks over to Quinn, who is holding up her knife, indicating she was the one who did it.
"You know how easy it was to turn Sam from the hero of Woodsboro to the villain." How easy it is to convince people to believe the worst in people rather than the best," Quinn says, slowly making her voice louder as she's saying it. She holds her knife close to Sam. "Because nowadays it's not enough to just kill someone, you have to assassinate their character first. So when dad here discovers your horribly multilated body pose with Sam with her dad's mask, he'll say to some poor bastard on the interent that you're the real ghostface and took matters into their own diluted hands," Ethan explains as Quinn takes another swing at Sam.
"You're a fucking psyhco," I grumble under my breath but loud enough for Ethan to hear. "Oh, I know." He smirks at me and evilly chuckles as I glare at him.
"Exactly why it's a perfect alibi and all the best lies were based on the truth; you're a killer like your father," Bailey accuses Sam as he points at her. "No, I'm not!" Sam yells in frustration at Bailey.
"Yes, you are a motherfucker! You killed our brother!" Quinn screams at us with tears in her eyes and anger in her voice. "What are you talking about?" Sam asks, confused.
"You said your brother died in a car accident," Tara says. "No, no, no, no. He died in Woodsboro at the hands of your bitch sister," Ethan reveals to us, and my mind clicked. Richie was his brother.
"Your Richie's family," Sam says softly, looking at Bailey as he nods. Suddly, Ethan runs between me and Sam and stabs his knife into Sam's shoulder, and I let out a scream. Tara quickly grabbed Sam and pulled her away. "You're finally starting to get it!" Ethan says this with some insane joy in him while he and Quinn corner them.
Unfortunately, I was separated from Sam and Tara, so I made a run for it. I turned in the opposite direction and started running to the curtain near the exit sign. I reach it and start to climb up the ladder, hoping to escape. Suddenly, I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me and pull me back down.
