XVII

He knocked thrice on her bedroom door and waited for a response.

"Enter."

He gently entered the room, making sure to close the door behind him as he sat down on the small bean bag in the corner of her room.

"I'm sure you didn't expect me here, but we have to properly talk about your current situation." He said sternly.

"There's nothing to talk about, if you can't let me go then I kindly ask you to leave."

She was hopeless and it was starting to show.

"Actually, I have something to suggest to you, if you don't mind of course."

"Just say what you want."

"I have some work to do in London, I'm traveling there in two days." He started.

"Okay."

"You can travel with me and see your family by yourself, however you cannot meet them, just from far away, am I clear?"

"What?! So, I can see my parents?"

"Only from afar though."

"Okay!" She answered beaming with joy,

He got up and was about to open the door when he was stopped by a small voice.

"Xavier." She called out meekly.

"Yes?" He answered turning back to face her.

"Thank you." She thanked him blushing profusely.

"You're welcome." He said stunned by her words.

"I heard the news, I'm so happy for you, my love." Exclaimed Gisele hugging Lily's tiny frame.

"Thank you, Gisele. I appreciate it so much."

"We should start packing your things, consider this a vacation girl!"

Gisele's excitement made her giggle as she got up and started going through her closet which was full of clothes thanks to Gisele.

"Also, congrats Lils, I heard that when you come back you won't have to work anymore, you will just rest and enjoy the mansion. Honestly, I wouldn't complain."

"What? Who said so?" She asked confusingly.

"The boss himself, I think he forgot to tell you or something."

"Oh."

It was very confusing to her to say the least, she felt many emotions at once, not knowing what exactly each one was.

He knew what he was doing was useless, she was harmless and he knew that, but he couldn't get himself to completely let her go.

His feelings were starting to grow for her, and he hoped that this trip would get them even closer together.

He was starting to fall for her and even he couldn't deny it.

After saying goodbye to Gisele, it was time to leave and get into the car which would take them to the private jet.

She was very sleepy, she hasn't slept a second the day before and as soon as the car started moving, she couldn't help but doze off.

Xavier couldn't keep his eyes off the sleeping angel beside him, he involuntarily found himself scooting towards her and soon enough Lily was in his arms.

He knew he shouldn't be doing that, but he couldn't help it, his feelings for her were growing and he could do nothing about it.
