I know it's been superrrr long since my last book ended.
After the 'Oblivious' books I had a few other ideas for books but whenever I'd write them they just never worked out and I'd quit a few chaps in. I seriously have like 20 something drafts of unfinished books because I lost motivation on every single one.
Then I had my senior year ahead that I needed to focus on but I just flipping graduated finally!!!
I feel a lil old writing about the sandlot still but I just feel so comfortable with these characters, it's nostalgic and reminds me of something from my childhood now that I'm turning into a granny :,(
Plus I suck at write anything else and can only come up with plots that revolve around this movie. Benny just ends up as a default main male character cause I got no one else 😶
But now I'm here and I swearr I better actually get through this book without quitting, because I really really like this book idea and I hope you guys will too. ♡
Warnings PRETTY PLEASE READ THIS!!
This is getting long as frick but before we start, I have some things I want you to be aware of before reading. So don't be a weenie and jump my ass.
1) First, the characters are aged up a little. The two main ocs are around 15, almost 16. Benny, and the older boys like Bertram or Kenny are 16. The others are around 13, 14. The timeline is still set in the 60s.
2) There is a lot more serious topics and situations then my other books. There is mentions of drugs and alcohol abuse. Even if it's the oc joking about it because she lowk has trauma.
3) There is physical abuse towards the oc. It sucks, but for the plot and the characters development, there is. I don't want anyone to be uncomfortable with that, so I'll put a warning also before the chapters there is some.
