Perrie frantically bustled around her room, basically rearranging everything as she searched for her liquid eyeliner. Clothes were quickly strewn everywhere and books were tossed onto new patches of carpeting as the blonde searched every single part of her room for the small object. If Perrie wanted to make her presentation on time, she had to leave within the next thirty-five minutes, and if her eyeliner didn't appear soon, then that might not happen.

Perrie had been scurrying around the apartment since the moment she had woken up much later than she had intended to. It was Monday, and typically Mondays for Perrie meant sleeping in until one in the afternoon (as long as Jade didn't make too much racket), getting ready at a leisurely pace, making something nice for lunch, and then leaving the apartment so she could make her first class of the day at two thirty.

Perrie's schedule was rather different this Monday because of the important presentation that she was meant to give promptly at ten in the morning. The blonde had quadruple checked her alarm the previous night, making sure that it was on and set for seven thirty in the morning. Perrie wanted to make sure that she had enough time to get ready and review her material before leaving early enough so that she arrived ten minutes before her presentation was set to start; she always believed that being early was akin to being on time, and that being on time wasn't acceptable because it cut it too close to being late.

All of Perrie's meticulous planning had flown out of the window earlier when her alarm had unfortunately not sounded promptly at seven thirty. Instead, Perrie had woken up to the sound of something being dropped down the hall in the kitchen. Perrie had initially rolled over to check the time, simply wanting to see how much time she had left to sleep, but had instantly jumped out of bed, exclaiming a profanity when the numbers on her phone read '8:17'.

In Perrie's initial scramble to gather her things and hop in the shower, she hadn't given the whole situation much thought. A few minutes later, she started formulating an idea that the unfortunate mishap from earlier was most likely not due to a phone malfunction. By the time Perrie had pulled her black pencil skirt up her legs and tucked her baby blue blouse into it, she was ninety-nine percent positive that Jade was to blame for the issue.

Before starting on her hair and makeup, Perrie had rushed over to her phone and pulled up her alarm. Her jaw set tightly in rage as she noticed that her alarm for this morning had been completely turned off, confirming that she hadn't accidentally set her alarm for seven thirty p.m. instead of seven thirty a.m. Perrie grew even more outraged when she had realized that if she hadn't boasted about the interview to her mother over the phone while Jade had been mere feet away, this whole situation could have been avoided; this was all essentially her fault.

Presently, Perrie still hadn't managed to find her eyeliner, and a frantic glance at the time on her phone told her that it was already 9:13, meaning that if she wasn't ready and out the door in thirty minutes, she would most likely be late to her presentation. In this case, late meant actually late, which was about ten thousand times worse than being 'on time' for Perrie.

At this point, frustrated tears started to pool in Perrie's eyes as she stood helpless in the middle of her room, turning on the spot as her eyes flit over every square inch of her room in the hopes of finally locating her missing eyeliner. The first tear slowly escapes, trailing down Perrie's cheek as the blonde lets out a feeble sigh. The one day that she needed everything to go right has just been terrible from the get-go.

Perrie gets one final idea, and although it goes against everything she's built up all semester, she's desperate and figures if there's any time to resort to begging, it's now. She takes a few quick steps towards her door, flinging it open and sprinting the short length of the hallway. She hurriedly enters the kitchen, a sigh of relief pushing past her lips when she notices Jade on the tips of her toes as she reaches for a box of cereal on top of the fridge. The brunette's shirt rides up slightly as her arm is extended upwards, and Perrie rolls her eyes at the purple marks that peek out from the waistband of Jade's sleep shorts.
