It takes Perrie a few days to fully realize that things hadn't completely gone to shit. Although simply thinking about her family situation as well as her roommate situation brings about a melancholy state, there are other factors of Perrie's life that seem to banish her dismal emotions for the most part. Perrie's not all too sure that the positives currently outweigh the negatives in her life, but over the past few days she's learned that it's actually rather easy to simply focus on the positives and act as if the negatives don't even exist.

Perrie's calculated ignorance was a suggestion given to her by none other than the ray of sunshine that is Ally Brooke. After fleeing the apartment after her extremely taxing altercation with Jade, Perrie had immediately headed off to her friends' apartment. Perrie knew that she didn't want to be alone with her thoughts, and that she most certainly needed her friends to keep her mind off of the depressing events of the day.

Ally had been the one to answer the door once Perrie had arrived, and she had immediately noticed that something was wrong. Perrie typically wasn't the affectionate or cuddly type, yet she had accepted Ally's embrace rather zealously. Ally hadn't prodded the blonde to talk about what was wrong; she had simply held onto Perrie tightly and used one of her hands to comb through Perrie's blonde locks soothingly.

Once Perrie had calmed down, Ally had led the blonde into the living room, and soon enough, Perrie and Ally were joined in a group hug by Katherine, Cher, and Jesy. Perrie realized that the hug was the most comforting gesture she had ever received, and suddenly Jade and her family were a distant murmur in the back of her mind.

After the girls had pulled away from each other with wide grins on their faces, Perrie was hit with an overwhelming wave of gratitude, which summoned a fresh set of tears to her eyes. Katherine had tentatively asked what brought on Perrie's tears, and Perrie realized that she was completely comfortable sharing everything with her friends, so she did.

Once the entirety of Perrie's story settled with her friends, the four roommates were instantly offering advice and uplifting words for the blonde. Perrie instantly favored Ally's advice to focus on the positives and neglect the negatives. Jesy had even offered Perrie her room until she felt comfortable going back to her own apartment, stating that it wasn't any trouble because she could simply crash at her boyfriend's apartment. Perrie had rolled her eyes at Jesy's enthusiasm at the possibility of being able to spend even more time with her boyfriend, but it was an affectionate eye roll and Perrie was grateful nonetheless.

Wanting to lighten up the atmosphere, Cher had suggested that the five girls take a break from homework and their other responsibilities and focus on making Perrie 'forget about all those pointless fuckers'. Perrie had almost reprimanded Cher, simply because she didn't want to view her mother with that degree of negativity. However, the prominent desire to focus on the good and shun the bad demanded that Perrie keep her mouth shut, so the blonde simply cheered along with her four friends and was then met with another brief group hug.

Perrie isn't exactly sure how it had happened, but somehow all of the girls had ended up downing shots in the kitchen and then finding a picture of Jade on Facebook, printing it out, and pinning it onto a dartboard that sat in the corner of the living room. When Perrie had asked the girls why they even had a dartboard in the apartment in the first place, Katherine, Ally, and Jesy had shrugged and set their eyes on Cher expectantly. Cher had simply shrugged as well and said, "Dartboards are sick as fuck," and that had seemed like a sufficient answer for all of them.

The darts had ended up lodged in the wall more often than they ended up in the dartboard, but the girls had a riot nonetheless and it eventually got to the point where the earlier drama of the day wasn't preoccupying Perrie in the slightest; if the girls weren't currently attempting to puncture a picture of her roommate with sharp projectiles, Perrie wouldn't even be able to recall her earlier conflict with Jade.
