Freen's POV
Heng decided to go fishing with the guys so,
"Have you seen Becky?." I walked to Nam who's currently taking pictures of tourists at the beach.
"Hmm why are you looking for her?." Nam teased.
"Am I no longer allowed to look for my bestfriend now?." I sarcastically said.
"Sure. Well, your bestfriend is shark diving with my brother right now honey. Seems like Becbec suddenly had a change of heart. From completely avoiding my brother, to finally opening up to him. I mean, did you know that she called him to hang out yesterday?. Unfortunately, he had training so nah." She said.
"R-really?."
"Do I look like I'm the type to make up such story?." Nam said.
"Yes." I said with no hesitations. I mean Nam is Nam alright.
"Tsk. Look, I'm telling you the truth this time, okay?. Besides, I just hope she's not going to break my baby brother's heart again. Anyways, how are you and Heng going?." Nam said.
"Fine." I said, looking away.
"That's it?."
"What's more to say?."
"I-I don't know, like what base are you in--"
"Ew!." I impulsively said.
"W-what do you mean 'ew'? Isn't he going to be your boyfriend?." She asked, confused.
"I-I mean, isn't it too soon for that?. As you just mentioned, he's not my boyfriend yet."
"Says the one who kissed someone who's not her girlfriend." Nam smirked.
"For goodness sake, it was a dare." I said out of frustration and finally walked away.
I knew it, I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't have kissed her that night.

While fishing,
FLASHBACK
At a corner,
"Are you really not ready or you're just confused whether you really like me or your stupid bestfriend?."
"W-what, Heng no. It's not that. I-I mean--"
"Just admit it, will you? You are developing feelings for her--"
"I swear, Becky and I are nothing but friends. How many times do I have to tell you that?." She said.
"Then why do I feel like that's not true anymore?. Why do I feel like--like--"
"Like what?." She asked.
"The way you kissed her that night, it was something else. It keeps flashing in my mind and the humiliation I feel everytime I think that I'm going to be replaced by a girl and it's killing me Freen. And I know you're thinking about it too." I honestly told her.
