Chapter 5: powers?!

We swam along the coral until we came to a hotel. "this is your room," Deanna said to me. "Sky?" "yes?" I said, my eyes darting around to see what the noise was. It was Clove. "want to come to lunch with me?" She asked. I looked at the time. "it's 3:30," I said. "do you really want to go out to lunch This early?" Clove looked ashamed. "I'm sorry," she said. "I just wanted to go out with you." "Later, Kay?" "Alright." Then she walked to her room. "Hi." I turned around. 'Why does everyone keep scaring me?!' I thought. 'I HATE it!' "Yes." I said. "Hi I'm Alivia!" "Uh... Hi." I said and did a half smile and waved. Alivia's eyes were blue, her tail was red with black stripes and her hair is blonde. "Nice tail," she said. "Thanks," I smiled. This time I did a full smile. I only do half smiles to people I don't like. No One knows that; only my sister.

Dinner was served in the cafe, with sea shell necklaces. "What are these?" I asked De, who was sitting across from me. We were sitting with Alivia, Sam, Clove, and Kaiden. "the necklaces?" De asked. "Yes," I said. "uh.." Then she glanced at Kai. "Go ahead," Kai said and sighed. "Well, they give you a special power; if your necklace is blue, then you have water power. If yours is green, then you have earth. If yours is orange, then you have fire. If yours is white, then you have air." 'Wow,' I thought. Mine was a dark blue. It had a silver chain and little water charms. I looked over at Rainy's. Hers was orange. Deanna's was white, Rachel's was green, and Kaiden's was white, and Alivia's was orange.

"Almost done?" Rachel asked me. I was eating my sandwich, which was getting pretty saggy at the fact that we were under water. "Yep." I said, and put my sandwich in a plastic bag. "I'm going to my room." "Actually," Rachel caught me. "We have to go somewhere to go TO your room."
