Nova told each villager she came across, "Your fate will be sealed until death." Some people were in denial, others were perplexed, and still others were astounded by her intelligent futuristic eyes. Villagers would gather in front of her stand-alone tent, which had black curtains and gold trimmings. When they arrived, Nova welcomed them from behind a table with tarot cards and a crystal globe in the center. Some could assume it's an ordinary swindle because past fortune tellers they've encountered have predicted lies to others to the point where they've lost all faith in them. However, Nova saw only the truth and the truth alone. Nobody was aware of this at first; they always entered her tent with skepticism. However, once they saw the globe, which was a vision of themselves in the future, they realized it was unlike any other; the reflection was as clear as the skies, and the sound of her voice speaking words of wisdom was comforting. Their only recollection of their one and only visit is their exposed fate, her gleaming magenta eyes, and the stale look that seemed to be staring into their souls. They were rendered speechless but knew it was worth their money for this one in a lifetime experience. Nova would never stay in a village for more than a day; after dusk, she would vanish, never to be seen again until she found herself in another village. She kept her fortune-telling business going and visited as many villages as she could. She rose to fame one by one and became known as "The Seeress" throughout the lands.
Her works have finally reached the prestigious land, a kingdom of abundance and wealth controlled by a king. His servants made their way to his throne room and bowed to meet him formally.
"Sire," one of his servants explained, "there's a lady who foresees the future throughout the lands, and according to the villagers, she's known as The Seeress."
"Really?" the king asked, his twisted stance fixated on his seat. "Is she like the other fake fortune tellers I've met?"
The servant answered, "No sire, the villagers praised her works, and it seemed as though she could genuinely predict their future without fail."
The king's eyes shone as he realised that this time, after being let down by fortune tellers in the past, he would actually be able to finally see his real destiny.
"I'm intrigued, find her right away, and bring her here," the king ordered.
"But sire, we don't know her whereabouts; we heard she never stays in a village for more than a day and is always on the move," the servant said.
"I don't care about your insolent excuses," the king pounded his hands on the throne's armrest, "if you all want to live, I suggest you go find her right away."
Everyone in the chamber sprang to their feet in dread as the king's rage dominated the room.
"Yes.. sire.." The servants bowed in terror and fled swiftly to fulfill the king's command.
