On with the story!!
Jimmy was curled up on the floor, face wet with tears and dried blood covering his lips. He hadn't slept the past two days, at least not for more than an hour. He had been walking around his house in circles and biting his lips. He hadn't eaten a full meal since the pizza he got Scott a few days prior. Even thinking about Scott made Jimmy want to throw up. He felt terrible. He was awful, he had caused so much pain to Scott. First his mother, then Scott, who else would he hurt? Jimmy gripped his skull and winced in pain. He was so hungry, but he didn't want to eat. His doorbell rang, and he debated getting up to answer it. He murmured to himself and stayed laying on the floor. The ringing turned to knocking, which turned to heavier knocking. "Jimmy, I'm going to knock down this door!! Let me in!" Lizzie's voice yelled. "...No.." Jimmy muttered. "Jimmy, I'm not going to ask again. Open the door." Jimmy wiped his eyes and got up. He opened the door slowly and avoided looking Lizzie in the eyes. "Oh, Jimmy! You look awful!" Lizzie hugged Jimmy. Jimmy cried into her shoulder. "Jimmy, what happened?" "I... I stupidly told Scott that I didn't like him like that..." "do you?" "I don't know! I don't understand my feelings!" Jimmy walked to his bed and sat down. "I.. I care about him but... I'm straight." Lizzie sat next to him. "It can be confusing Jimmy. Don't rush your feelings." "He.. hates me now, doesn't he?" "What? Of course not! He actually thinks that you hate him!" Jimmy was shocked. "Why would he think that? I love him! Well, not like that, you know what I meant." Lizzie giggled. "You should tell him that." Jimmy thought about it. "...Jimmy, are you okay? You seem worse than normal." "..no, I'm not okay. I feel terrible. I wish I never said that." Lizzie frowned. She pulled out a mini hairbrush and brushed Jimmy's hair. She pulled out a few plasters and patched up the scratches on Jimmy's face, and wiped the blood off of his face. ".. thank you.." Jimmy looked pained. "Have you eaten?" Lizzie walked
To Jimmy's kitchen. "No.." Lizzie began making some toast and eggs. Jimmy thought to himself. He must like Scott. He cared too much about him for it to not be romantic. But that can't be right, Jimmy had always been straight. Jimmy was snapped out of his thinking coma by Lizzie, bringing him his food. After finishing the meal, Lizzie started to leave, but Jimmy stopped her. "Lizzie, I think I'm.. I think I'm gay." Lizzie smiled. "I'm proud of you, Jim." She gave him a hug. "Tell Scott when your ready. Have a good day." Lizzie left.
Jimmy sat on his bed. He liked Scott. He knew that, Scott was perfect. But... how would he tell him? The reason Scott got upset was because he liked Jimmy back, right? Well, past tense, probably. He broke his heart. Jimmy hit himself in the head. "Ugh why would I do this.." Jimmy said into his pillow. Jimmy positioned his pillow next to him and hugged it. He missed Scott. He needed him.
Lizzie was sitting in her kitchen eating, thinking about Jimmy. "Man. I hope he's okay." Lizzie said to Joel. "Yeah, it's seems like his depression has been getting worse. He was so happy when he was hanging with Scott more." Lizzie nodded sadly. Her phone rang. "Oh, it's Grian." Lizzie picked up the phone. "Hey G, what's up?" "Great news! I'm coming home to visit!" Lizzie gasped. "For real? That's amazing! When are you coming?" "Saturday." Lizzie checked the date. It was Wednesday. "That's great! We can't wait to see you! I'll tell the others if you don't mind." "Yeah, go ahead, see you in a few days!" Lizzie hung up. "What'd he want?" "Grians coming to visit on Saturday! He's coming home!" Joel smiled. "No way! I've missed him so much!" "You know what this means, right?" "...no?" "We throw him a welcome home party! We have to!!" Lizzie begged. "I mean yeah, we could definitely do that-" "YAY! I'll start decorating!" Lizzie ran off. "Geez." Joel laughed.
Lizzie knocked on Jimmy's door. "Come in." Jimmy mumbled through his pillow. Lizzie walked in. "Hey, you doing alright?" "Better than ever." Jimmy sat up. "So, I'm throwing a welcome home party for Grian! He's coming to visit!" Jimmy's face lit up. "Really! That's awesome! Can I help?" "That's what I was gonna ask you, thought it could take your mind off things." Jimmy got out of bed. "I'm down! Let's go!"
After hours of sweat and glue, Lizzie and Joel's house looked like a highschooler party, but in a good way. "It looks amazing!" Jimmy stepped back to admire their hard work. Lizzie squealed. "Oh, I love it!" She checked off a box on her notepad. "Next step, invitations. You down to help make and hand 'em out?" Lizzie looked up at Jimmy. "Yup! Let's get going!"
"I think the pink is the best option." Jimmy pointed to a picture on Lizzie's computer, leaning over her shoulder. "Read my mind." Lizzie laughed and selected the card. Her printer began to print out the invitations. "Alright, grab a pen and start writing names on them." "Do you have a list of people?" "Ah yes, pretty much everyone." Lizzie slid a piece of paper into the middle of her desk and Jimmy pulled up a chair. "'Fwhip, Kathrine, Martyn, Sausage, pearl, scar...' alright. I'll take the first half." Jimmy drew a line through the list of people. The two began writing. When Jimmy got to Scott's name, he felt tears in his eyes. He promptly wiped his eyes and continued with the cards.
After around 30 minutes, the last card was put in an envelope and put in the 'finished' pile. "Should we start handing them out? We don't have to walk far, so it wouldn't make sense to mail them." "You're right, but Joel should probably help." Lizzie called for her husband, and he walked downstairs. "Woah! You've been busy!" Joel said in reaction to the decorations. "Yup! You like them?" Jimmy asked. "Like them? I love them! What'd you need me for?" "We need help handing out invites." Said Lizzie, handing him a stack of envelopes. "If we all hand them out, we'll be done pretty fast." Joel took the envelopes. "Sounds good." "The names are on the envelopes." Lizzie said, while handing Jimmy a pile as well. Jimmy looked down at the pile, and saw Scott's name on the top envelope. "Can... Can one of you give Scott his? I don't.." Lizzie gasped. "Oh! I'm so sorry, I meant to give his to Joel!" Lizzie quickly swapped out Scott's invite with Impulse's. "Thanks." Jimmy said quietly. "By the way Jimmy, would you be comfortable telling Joel what you told me earlier?" Lizzie asked, picking up her pile. "Oh, uhm... I.. I guess." Jimmy turned to Joel. "Oh no, what happened?" Joel looked worried. "I'm... Joel, I'm gay." Joel dropped his invites. "Oh, dude!" Joel gave Jimmy a hug. "Im proud of you man." Jimmy smiled. "I can't say I didn't see this coming," Joel laughed while picking up the papers he dropped. Jimmy laughed nervously. "Was it really that obvious?" "Oh! No! I mean, I still am kinda surprised." Joel said, hugging Jimmy again. "Have you only told us?" Lizzie asked. "Yeah, Im definitely not ready to come out to anyone besides you guys right now." Jimmy fidgeted nervously. Lizzie smiled. "It's okay, you don't have to tell anyone if you don't want to." Jimmy smiled and hugged them both. "Well, these cards aren't gonna deliver themselves!" Joel laughed.
