Charlie's POV
I was not drunk.
Okay, that was a lie. I'm totally drunk, but I was perfectly fine. It was past midnight, and most of the party had died down. Either everyone went home or they took the party elsewhere.
I wasn't allowed to drink any further, which I totally understand, seeing as how I was totally drunk as a skunk.
Everyone was talking about their exes, and Nora was currently telling the group about how she once dated a girl.
"Wait, you actually dated a girl?" Clayton wondered.
"For two months, in my freshman year of College." She explained. "Her name was Samantha."
"I-I.... I can't believe you dated a girl." I slurred my words, despite attempting to come off as not drunk.
"What happened with her?" Adelaide wondered.
"Well, she got too clingy so I dumped her." Nora said.
"That is so mean." I said.
"Um, didn't you lead Ryan on while you had a crush on...." I gave her a pointed look. "Someone else?" Nora retorted.
Damn. Harsh... but true.
"She got you there." Ryan laughed.
"I didn't mean to..." I frowned.
"It's fine. It was good, while it lasted." Ryan said, slurping down whatever was in his cup.
"Alright, who is next with a story about an ex?" Nora wondered.
"Uh, I once dating a girl named Hailey." Nevaeh started. "We dated for almost a year before she tried hooking up with my brother, and she also tried to hook up with our friend, Sam."
"No way!" Nora gasped.
"Sounds like a hoe." Ella added.
"Yep. I know they didn't actually hook up, but I was so angry. So I hooked up with her brother." Nevaeh pursed her lips.
"Oh my god, I love that for you." Nora said, causing me to roll my eyes.
"I had an ex named Billy, or Benny? I can't really remember." Adelaide started, taking a long pause.
"And?" Clayton wondered.
"And, that's it. He was actually really sweet, at first. But then he went and told the entire school that we had sex."
"Did you?" Nevaeh wondered.
"No! We were in the sixth grade!" Adelaide groaned.
"What did you do?" Nora asked.
"I kneed him in the dick in front of his pathetic little friends, and then I went to get pizza from the cafeteria." She said.
"Hearing all about your exes is so entertaining." Isaiah stated.
"What about you?" Adelaide wondered. "Any ex stories worth mentioning?"
"Uh, I've never really dated anyone before. But I once had sex with a couple."
Everyone raised their eyebrows at that.
"What?" Adelaide was shocked.
"Uh, since when?" Nevaeh asked.
"I shouldn't fuck and tell." Isaiah finished off his beer.
"Damn, how have I never had a threesome?" Adelaide asked herself out loud.
"Wait, so you actually had sex with a straight couple?" Ryan asked Isaiah.
"Yeah." Was his answer.
"Has anyone else here had a threesome?" Nevaeh wondered.
Nobody answered, which obviously meant that nobody else had.
I turned towards the kitchen to see Ace and Allegra talking by the countertop. Allegra had just laughed at something Ace said.
I put on a smile and began walking over to them.
"Hello friennnnnd!" I put my arm around Ace's shoulder as he was talking to Allegra, giving him a friendly half hug.
"Hi, I'm Allegra." She introduced herself to me.
"I'm Charlie." I smiled, feigning excitement. Well, to be honest, I was drunk, so I probably was actually excited.
Nah, that's just the alcohol talking.
"What are you guys talking about?" I wondered.
"Oh, we were just catching up. It's been awhile since we saw each other last." Allegra answered.
"That's sooooo interesting."
Ace pulled my arm off of him and turned to Allegra. "I'll be right back."
He dragged me along by the shoulder, leading me upstairs. He seemed angry at me, I can't imagine what for. If anyone should be angry, it's me. Not that I'm saying I am angry.
"Nice to meeeeet youuuu!" I called back.
When we reached the second floor, he stopped in his tracks, turning to face me. "What is going on with you?" He asked me.
"Nothing, frieeeend, I'm all good!" I laughed as I playfully punched him in the shoulder.
He sighed.
"Look, I'm sorry I introduced you as a friend, my friends from here don't really know that.. well, you know." Ace explained.
"Or maybe you just didn't want pretty Allegra to know that you're with someone." I said, dropping the pretence of being chill and happy.
He had a confused look on his face.
"Nevaeh told me you and Allegra used to have a thing." I said.
"That was nothing." He was so sure of his answer.
"It doesn't seem like nothing."
He scoffed a chuckle. "Wait, are you jealous?"
"What? No, I am not jealous." I lied.
"You totally are." He smirked at me.
"Am not."
"Are too." He smiled.
"Why the hell are you smiling?" I asked him, annoyance setting in.
"I think it's hot that you're jealous." He whispered.
Huh?
My heart raced a million miles per hour.
He pressed me up against the wall and kissed me on the lips. His right hand held my face, while his left one traced down my arm before slipping between my arm and ribs, falling down to my waist.
We pulled apart, panting. "We should head back." He said.
I tip-toed to give him another kiss.
"Okay." I smiled.
____________
Sorry for the short chapter.
It's been hard to write lately, especially since I'm trying to write other projects as well.
I've mainly been working on my other book called 'Hating Grayson'. Feel free to go ahead and read it, if not, that's okay. But I will mostly be working on that story, so this one may be slowly ongoing in the future.
I will continue trying to release at least one chapter per week.
Also, I was so naive to think I could write all of these stories side by side. I apologise if you are waiting for new chapters of my other works, and I hope to release more chapters soon.
Hope you are doing well.
