forgive and forget

Authors note: this isnt chapter two of the first fic this is just a place holder for now

it was another day of college like any other day. she sat in class, ate some food from a cafeteria which was full of people like usual, went to sleep for a few hours then did it again the next day... until...

"wait!" a raspy voice yelled from behind her, she quickly turned around only to fall over in an embarassing way. "hold on! i have something important to tell you."

fabrics was dragged away by this stranger before she could even ask who he was or what he wanted, there was no turning back now.

"i've got good news, fabrics," the raspy voice said as he continued walking her towards the dorm room she'd been assigned. "you're going home tomorrow."

she froze, the words taking a while to sink in. "home?"

"yeah. your mom's bringing you home today, get packed, be ready to leave at seven."

"but..." fabrics took a step back as the realization came to her. "why am i going home?"

the man smiled. "we'll talk about that later, don't worry."

the thought made fabric go completely numb. "wait, so... my parents? are they ok? did anything happen?"

he looked uncomfortable. "no, they're fine. just be ready to go when your mom arrives, okay?"
"okay," she nodded slowly, feeling defeated. "at seven. bye."

with one last smile the man disappeared into the crowds of students.

fabrics watched him walk away and didn't move for a moment after his departure, unable to think properly.

so why do i have to go home?

how could this be happening to her?

she stood still for a while longer but eventually started packing her stuff, unaware of how the time had passed.

as she was finishing up, someone knocked on the door.

fabrics' heart jumped as she hurried to open it.

there stood a very confused looking maeri, eyebrows raised.

"the others said you were here and i wanted to see if you were alright?"

"oh... yes," fabrics responded faintly, tears still streaming down her face.

she placed a her hand on fabrics' shoulder and pulled her in for a hug, fabrics put her arms around maeri, letting out a sigh of relief. she felt so safe in the embrace of her best friend.

fabrics found herself shaking. why is this happening?

"everything will be alright, fabrics, i promise."

fabrics hugged her closer, she sniffled a few times but remained strong, saying "i know."

and after they broke apart, fabrics took off to finish packing and get dressed. her bags were packed, along with a suitcase for extra clothing.

"well," she murmured. "this might be the most awkward conversation i've ever had."

"oh come on it wasnt that bad" maeri said, smiling.

fabrics shook her head, knowing this was the last time they would see eachother for awhile... "i'm just glad you're here even if for the last time" fabrics said looking over to a full on sobbing maeri going in for another hug,

"you still have to say goodbye to the others before you go, i know mars would break your legs if you left without saying anything"

just as they stopped hugging for the second time today they heard a soft knocking and a laugh they'd never forget, "knock knock feeshie" chirped the purple haired girl making her entry into fabrics' room that was now empty from all the packing

"i brought otterly along with me if thats okay" she said as a brown haired nerd made his way in behind mars... "OTTERLY!!" fabrics said in a squeal "its been so long" she signaled them both into a hug, the hug lasted a total of 2 minutes before otterly muttered he needed air
they all started laughing and then the awkward silence filled the room

"have you told mokey yet?" maeri asked breaking the silence, tears swelling up in their eyes again
"no..." they all looked down at their feet awkwardly "this is really goodbye?" fabrics looked up

"im sorry... it all just happened so soon i coul-"
"its okay" mars said "you couldnt have known"

"thank you guys for being here for me, im sorry i have to leave like this" she sobbed
