Eternity Chapter 15

Miranda’s POV

I waited patiently at home for everyone to get back. I would have gone out and helped but I didn’t want to endanger the baby. She seemed to be the center of my world now. I laid down on the couch and fell asleep sometime later. “ Miranda”, someone said shaking me awake. “ What?”, I groaned.

“ We’re back you can stop guarding the house”, Aidan said. “ Thanks”, I said sitting up, “ did you find anything?” “ We found Drake”, Damien said sitting down. “ WHAT he’s here”, I said jumping up to my feet. “ He wants his gem back by Friday”, he said sourly. “ Is everyone okay?”, I asked panicked. “ Everyone’s fine he didn’t kill anyone now relax you’re upsetting yourself”, Aidan warned. I sat back down and massaged my temples trying to calm down. “ No you know what I’m tired of being calm”, I said getting up again, “ we need to do something”. “ Miranda we’re trying but we don’t even know what we’re up against”, Eve said. “ I do”, I said pulling Amanda’s book out of her bag. “ Where did you get that?”, Damien said grabbing it. “ Amanda got it I read it while you were gone and its got more than just witch info in it”, I said flipping to the pages I put sticky notes on.

“ You can read”, Georgie said surprised. “ Yeah Red taught me”, I said,

“ right here it talks about demons and werewolves but I doubt the werewolves are coming”. “ Why’s that?”, Damien asked looking over the pages. “ Do you forget that quickly they’re terrified of Red and her pack they would never go against them which means they’re probably hiding and vampires aren’t a probably we just need weapons and we live in a forest”, I said as if it was obvious. “ I never thought I’d say this but Miranda it’s a pleasure to know you”, Kat said scanning the pages. “ With this new information I think we just might win”, Damien announced. “ Its like she knew”, I said puzzled. We planned for hours and I was getting exhausted. I went upstairs and went into the first room that was unlocked. I smelt Amanda’s scent and I knew this must be her study.

I looked around her stuff was all sitting out on the desk. I looked through all the books and I caught Bane’s scent on some. Bane I missed him almost as much as Amy. I couldn’t believe he ran away from a fight leaving me and his child behind. I was glad I’d stayed behind though to fix things with all the people I hurt in the past. I felt like I belonged here but without my mate the whole thing thing seemed pointless. “ Miranda”, Damien called up.

“ Coming”, I said scooping up the books. “ These have more info but I think we’ve got it all already”, I said putting the books back down. “ Miranda there’s someone here to see you”, Aidan said. I looked around and finally spotted him over at the entrance. “ Bane”, I said eyes narrowed.

“ Miranda”, he nodded. “ What are you doing here?”, I said crossing my arms. “ I heard there was a fight coming up and I never miss a big brawl”, he shrugged. “ Is that all”, I asked. “ Come on Miranda you knew why I left and I asked you to come you said no”, he reminded me. “ I though you would stay I would understand if you had a good reason but you didn’t”, I said angrily. “ I didn’t under that you were going to really stay what can these people do really most of them are human bait for the sharks”, he said nastily. “ You racist son of a bitch”, Georgie snarled and started towards him. “ For your information these humans and us useless werewolves have done more good in the last two days than you’ve done your entire life”, Damien said walking up to him. “ Why don’t you just hand over his necklace that’s what the girly boy wants anyways”, he stated. “ He killed Amanda he can’t just get away with that”, Damien said. “ This isn’t about revenge Damien”, Christie said. “ He deserves to die think about all the people he killed”, Aidan said. “ Aidan killing is wrong”, Georgie said turning on him.

“ What are we going to do then tell him we don’t have the necklace and hope he goes away”, Harry said getting up. “ Why don’t we just find his necklace”, Eve said. “ I’m not going looking for Amanda’s body”, I said shaking my head. “ This is what I’m talking about no plan”, Bane said.

“ What’s your genius plan then, run like hell?”, Damien said pissed off.

“ What’s yours wait for him to kill someone else”, he replied. “ Don’t listen to reason fine”, I said sitting back down. “ The reasonable thing to do is to get the hell out of town”, Bane insisted. “ The stupid thing to is run look what happened to Amanda every time she ran”, Harry said. “ It’s all useful everyone’s going to die and all I have to say is all of you are idiots we have no plan”, Blondie said. “ We have no allies of course we’re going to die its inevitable”, Aidan said.

“ That’s supportive thanks a lot”, Georgie said. “ If I die I’m haunting all of you this is pathetic what are we going to do”, Victor snapped. “ Plans don’t matter the whole lot of you are idiots”, Bane snarled. “ We need to do something”, I said. “ What are we going to do surrender that’s crazy”, Harry said. “ You got any better ideas”, Danny said. We kept arguing and I felt something hurt down near the baby and I bit my lip. They kept yelling but it hadn’t come to physical blows yet. “ EVERYONE SHUT THE FUCK UP”, someone yelled at the top of their lungs.

“ Kat this is none of your business go back to bed”, Damien said but everyone had shut up. “ Everyone sit”, she said seriously. “ You cant boss us around”, Bane said. “ SIT”, she ordered. Everyone dropped sitting on the floor as she walked in. “ Look at you”, she said walking in, “ you’re arguing with each other well I bet Amanda’s glaring down at you bunch of nimrods”. “ Hey”, Harry said. “ She wanted you all to fix this but no fighting is more important”, she said angrily. “ Kat calm down”, I said calmly. “ People out there are dying women, children, men and others like us but go right ahead and keep fighting with each other because that’s going to solve everything”, she said then there was silence. “ Everyone get to work”, she said sitting down. “ Guys”, I said. “ What?”, Bane said harshly. I gave him a hurt look and Kat glared at him. “ What is it Miranda”, he asked calmly. “ I think my water just broke”, I said.
