Alicent sighed softly, running her fingers through Rhaenyra's hair. "Princess Nymeria's husband was a man, you say? Lord Something?" she repeated, a hint of amusement in her voice, trying to engage the young girl in conversation.

Rhaenyra's gaze remained fixed on the distant sky, seemingly lost in her own thoughts. With a nonchalant shrug, she replied, "Yes, Lord Something. I don't remember his name exactly. It's not important anyway."

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to them, Eris silently observed their conversation, occasionally interjecting her own thoughts. She couldn't help but feel a pang of regret for Rhaenyra's lack of a brother. Standing up, she walked a few steps away, her frown deepening.

"I wish your father had a son too, Rhae," Eris murmured, her voice filled with a tinge of longing. Looking back at the two girls huddled together, she continued, "Can I call you that? Rhae? It feels more personal. Anyway, knowing what I know... I wish he had a son. But unfortunately, what I've seen seems very inevitable now. I can only imagine how different the world would be had the king managed to sire a son."

Eris cast one last glance at the two girls, her heart heavy with a mixture of sorrow and concern. Despite her unspoken words, she knew she couldn't change the course of events. The future was set, and she could only watch and support them from the sidelines.
