Looping Dreams

The second Loop

You awake to the sounds of others moving about. You open your eyes and take a minute to get a grip on where you are. You see a wood floor worn down by the shoes of many girls and a ceiling made of plywood. You see the fuzzy filter of the bug net you hung up mere days ago. You see the walls are just slaps of leather and some wooden supports.

You hear voices talking in excited hushed  tones, but you can't make out what they are saying. You see four people mauling about. Their names come directly to the front of your mind, "Oliver, Gabriel, Cheese, and Splash-Pop". You don't know their real names because at camp you had to go by "camp names".

You see Oliver trying to find his signature bucket hat (he had asked you to use he/him pronouns so you obliged) for his hair was still a mess. Gabriel was saying something that you could only catch bits of, "This prank... be so fun" or "I hope we... get in trouble". Cheese was talking with her. As you look over at Splash-Pop standing by the opening of the leather that was the door, you notice something horrifying.

Splash-Pop's face was missing. Where it should was a strange angler texture like someone downgraded the number of polygons in that one specific area and left the rest normal. She also looked kind of glitchy. None else had noticed so you assumed it was just that you were still waking up.

During the incident with Splash-Pop you forgot about the others. You thought back to what Gabriel and Cheese were saying and was confused as to what the others were doing up this early. You knew that it was too early to get because the counselors weren't yelling "Good Morning something!" You couldn't remember what the camp ground's name was. Then it hit you like a rock, they were going through with the prank that you had excitedly discussed the previous night. You had been excited to prank the other campers, but now sleep called beckoning to join in its embrace. So you obliged.
