"look, i made a paper fortune teller."

soobin turned towards lia. they were sitting in math class working on the assigned problems the teacher gave. in lia's hands was a fold-up piece of paper with doodles all over it.

"that's so childish," he sneered, trying to ignore her.

"just pick a color," she whined.

"blue."

"i had a feeling you'd say that. you're so predictable." lia smirked, shaking her head and spelling out the letters. "okay, now a number."

soobin sighed, pretending to be uninterested in this pointless piece of paper, "three."

she counted to three in a cute little song. "another number!"

"one."

"it says..." she paused for dramatic effect as she lifted the fold. "20 bucks soobin will pick the number 1 because he's predictable."

"really?" he snatched the fortune teller from her hand, opening up all the folds. the rest of them all happened to be empty. he looked at her, and lia just smiled.

"how's this for predictable?" he asked, crumpling up the teller.

lia giggled as she picked up the paper and stood up to go to the trash can directly in front of the classroom.

soobin silently smiled as he looked back down at his assignment, which was nowhere as fun as talking to lia.

"hey, soobin!?"

soobin looked up, surprised to see that seoyeon, a classmate, had taken lia's seat. seoyeon was one of the most know girls in the grade. she was a member of the volleyball team.

soobin tried to ignore anything that had to do with sports. he was aware of seoyeon and her abilities in volleyball, but he knew little about her.

"can you help me with this problem?" seoyeon asked with a pout.
