3rd pov

As the soldiers opened the door for the two of them. Scaramouche led Y/n outside into the cold infinite winter.

The girl was slightly surprised how the coat is perfectly able to keep her so warm. After all her clothes were ripped on many parts and were still cold from two days ago. Though her feet were freezing due to her being barefoot.

The harbinger led her to the vehicles. She was confused even more to what is he planning.

Then after theyy stopped in front of one, he turned towards her. "Get in."

She obeyed without hesitation and climbed in, sitting on one side while he climbed in as well. Before he sat down, he took off his big hat and put it next to him.

As he commanded the fatui to begin their trip, he coldly looked at Y/n which made her feel a bit nervous.

"Make sure that the coat i gave you, will look exactly the same when we come back." He coldly said, eyes locked on the girl who was unsure what to answer so she just slowly noded.

He looked away once again, leaning his chin in his hand. "I wasn't able to force those useless slaves to make or buy a new one in time."

He slightly turned his eyes on me. "So i borowed this one from other harbinger. And that fucking ginger already gets on my nerves. If you do something with that coat he will just have another opportunity to annoy me again."

The girl looked at him and then at the coat surprised. He watched her for a while before turning away once again uninterested.

Y/n's pov

'I am wearing a coat that belongs to a... harbinger?...'

I looked at the coat once again, still surprised how am i allowed to wear it.

"I.. will make sure.. to keep it in the same state... until we get back..." I said and looked at him, but he just kept looking away from me.

I looked down, but then he spoke and it got my attention again. "You'd better do... otherwise there will be consequences.. that you won't like..." He gave me a cold stare and i swallowed hard.

Before he could look away again i used the opportunity of his attention to ask him. "May i ask... where.. are we going?..."

As i thought he didn't answer, but to my surprise he slightly chuckled. "Scared, yet still full of curiosity." He moved closer and i flinched back a little. "But, i think you already know the answer."

"You won't tell me..." I murmured and he chuckled once again and pulled me closer to sit beside him.

"So you are smart enough for that." He put his index finger under my chin and lifted my head to look at him.

Then he moved his hand into my hair, playing with it for a whil. "You need to take a shower after we come back..." He said disappointed and kept playing with my hair.

I kept looking away the whole time, but then he reached for my forearm and studied it for a while too. "You have dried blood everywhere.."

'And from who do you think it is...'

I pushed his hand away and hid my forearm under the coat again. Avoiding eye contact with him.

He noticed me my slightly annoyed expression and grabbed my jaw, making me look at him again. "Are you still cold?.. Or do you just hate my touch that much?.." He asked curiously with a smirk.

I didn't answer him, he then sighed and let go of my jaw. "To kind of asnwer your question.. I am taking you to two different places.." He spoke while looking away. "I hope that answer satisfied you enough."

Now i was even more curious, but remained silent to not annoy him more.

*time skip/few minutes later*

Y/n's pov

When we arrived he put on his hat again and got out of the vehicle. "C'mon, i won't wait for you for eternity!" He shouted as he turned towards me.

I moved forward to get out too and to my surprise he offered me a hand to not fall. I did grab his hand and when i was out i noticed that we were standing in front of a city.

I looked around surprised and he of course noticed it. "Already amazed just by this? Then i curious what you will think about the other place." He said as he looked at me.

"Anyway let's go.." He slightly pushed me further, signalizing the fatui soldiers to wait here.

As were walking through the city i noticed that the people being scared of his presence, but on the other hand curious who i was.

After while of walking we turned to left and we went into some kind of store with bunch of clothes.

I looked around, amazed by how many things is here to choose from, but was also confused why he brought me here.

Then a woman walked over to me. "You must be Y/n." She slightly smiled and i was even more confused now.

'How the hell does she know my name!?..'

I looked over at Scaramouche for some explanation. "She will help you with choosing new clothes." He said and the woman noded.

'What?...'

"Don't look at me like that, i don't want my doll to look like a piece of garbage." He stared at me annoyed before turning other way.

'I am not your doll!...'

He opened the door and looked me deadly into eyes. "I will be taking care of something else in the meantime, but when i come back, make sure to be already done."

I nodded and he left. The woman then put her hand on my shoulder and spoke again. "Can you take off the coat please, so i can measure you and find your size."

I turned to her and refused to take it off due to my scars and dried blood all over my body.

"Oh.. Is something wrong?..." She asked woriedly.

'Dammit if i waste time like this he will be mad again..'

'But.. wait.. perhaps..'

'This might be my chance to get away from him!..'

'I know it's foolish from me to trust a person i just met, but maybe...'

I looked at the woman confidently. "Can you please help me run away from the fatui?" Her eyes widened as she stared at me surprised.

I am terribly sorry for such a long wait!.. TwT I am gonna publish more often rn, cuz i got the motivation for it again. But anyway i would've wrote and released this chapter like 2 weeks ago already, but.. I needed to remind myself of the story and Y/n's personality to be sure how to continue plus this chapter was kind of difficult for me when it comes to story, cuz i had no ideas for it in the begginning.. Also when i was rereading the story i actually fixed A LOT of mistakes and even rewrited a few things (not anything really that important, it's just slightly different or a bit longer in some ways than it was before) Plus as you can see i also changed the whole aesthetic of this book <33
