Y/n's pov

"What?.." The woman asked as she kept staring at me surprised, now filled with a bit of sadness too.

She moved closer and put her hand on my shoulder again. "Girl, what are you ta-"

I pushed her hand away and interrupted her. "I'm serious... Ever since that harbinger kidnapped me, my life has been hell..."

She silently watched me as i took off the coat, revealing my body full of scars and dried blood.

"Dear, this looks horrible..." She said with a soft yet sad tone.

'Of course it does.'

"So..." I looked at her with hope. "Will you help me?"

She watched me with mixed feelings for a while, probably thinking what to answer.

When she finally spoke, her answer kind of surprised me. "I'd love to help you... But right now i honestly don't have any idea how..." She said sadly.

"Let me help you with finding new clothes.. and then.. we can try to find a way how to help you with the other thing.. Okay?" She added softly.

'Is she really willing to help me?..'

"But-" I wanted to change her mind and find a way how to run away now, but cut myself off. "I mean, you need better clothes, i doubt that the coat is able to fully warm you."

After a while of thinking, i nodded and she offered me a hand. I took it and she led me to a different room to measure me.

When she was done with it, we begun looking for new clothes for me. And it actually didn't take that long to find everything i needed.

"That should be everything.." She said softly and folded the clothes. Meanwhile i pulled on her sleeve to get her attention.

She turned to me curiously. "Yeah? What is i-" She cut herself off when she remembered. "Oh..." Her expression changed to a sad one again.

"Well, let me think..." She said and crossed her arms, putting a finger under her chin, thinking about a way how to help me.

I waited and waited with my anxiety slowly raising.

'It's been at least 40 minutes since he left... I am running out of time!..'

"Miss, so far it seems like he's gonna come back before we do anything.." As i said, she looked at me sadly.

"I am sorry dear... But there's not much i can really do.." She said and reached to grab my shoulder again, but i pushed her hand.

"What do you mean?.. Isn't here another way to get out or a place where to hide or something?" I looked at her with slight confusion before it hit me.

I stepped back a little with slight anger. "It was a lie.. You don't actually want to help me!.." I raised my voice at her.

She was surprised by my anger and it was clearly seen that she felt bad. "No.. I want to help you.. It's just.. turning against fatui is dangerous.."

"Try to at least imagine what is it like to be in my current situation.. I'd rather try and risk saving myself than give up!.." I shouted at her.

She looked away, obviously feeling bad. I wanted to say more, but was cut off by the sound of the door opening and a familiar voice.

"I heard you yelling something. What was it about hm?" Scaramouche asked teasingly while grabbing my waist with one hand from behind.

I didn't answer him, but it seemed like he didn't really care if i did or not.

As he let the door open a cold breeze blew over us and it made me shiver. He noticed it and reached for the coat.

"I gave you the coat, so you don't freeze to death.. so keep it on." He said coldly while covering me in the coat.

Then he looked at the woman and on the clothes. "I guess you're done, so let's go." He turned around and about to leave, not waiting for me at all.

I moved quickly to the woman and she gave me the clothes. I avoided eye contact with her and when she tried to talk to me, i simply ignored her and left, trying to catch up to Scara.

As i finally catched up to him, i walked beside him before we got back to our vehicle.

"Get in, there's still the other place i promised we will go to." He said and waited for me to get in.

'It's weird when he acts so nice.'

Before getting in, i gave him a curious and slightly annoyed look. Then as i sat down, i put the clothes beside me. He sat in front of me and as always took his big hat off, putting it beside him.

'What's the point of that big hat anyway.. It only gets in way.'

Not so long after, the vehicle started moving to our next destination.

He turned his attention back to me and spoke in a teasing tone. "Curious where are we going now?"

I didn't answer him nor looked at him, which made him grab my wrist and pull me closer. "I asked you something!.." He warned coldly.

To be completely honest, i was curious where were we going. I really was, but at the same time i was afraid to know.

My curiosity took over and i answered. "Yeah..."

He smirked devilishly and pulled me even closer. I was sitting on his lap now, my face just inches from his.

"Hmm really?" He said tesingly and grabbed my chin, forcing me to look at him. I kept trying to avoid looking him into the eyes though.

It was silent for a while. He watched me with a smirk the whole time before speaking again.

"I suppose i could give you a few more hints..." He said and thought for a while before speaking again. "Let's say... Everything there is only white and blue... and pretty cold..."

'Amazing, you just described the whole nation...'

"But i am sure you would like it, even though your feet will be freezing since you're barefoot." He said and smirked at me again.

As i remained silent, he let go off me and after a while got bored. "Get off me!.." He said coldly and i slowly moved from his lap.

As we sat in silence, i tried to imagine what the place will be like. After few more minutes the vehickle stopped since we got to the destination.

Scaramouche put his hat back on and got out of the vehicle, waiting for me. And so i got out too, the snow already freezing my feet.

Looking around, I realized we were standing in front of what looked like an ice cave.

"I am not going to wait for you any longer." Scaramouche said, already on his way to the cave.
