02.

IF he was drunk, he wouldn't remember her, the flower, or the time he went home. Damn. The girl with the VHS is real. Her face, however, is unnaturally beautiful. The best painter could never copy or imitate her perfection on a canvas. The colors won't be enough to capture the beauty in her eyes that hold the stars or her smile that is brighter than the sun.

It's something no one could duplicate or bring to existence again. No one in the world is as captivating and evergreen as Moonflower Girl. "I don't even know her name."

Jungkook hits his forehead using his palm. It's Tuesday, three days since he witnessed a life-changing moment. No one believed him when he told his friends and asked his members if they knew someone like her.

"You look like shit, Jungkook," Taehyung said when he came into the classroom for their calculus class.

He rolls his eyes, already knowing that. "Thanks for pointing that out." He sits on the chair, putting his bag behind his table. He hasn't slept well after that encounter. Who would sleep well at night when they make him sound crazy?

"Stop thinking about the VHS girl. You were drunk, Dude." Jimin comments, which Jungkook ignored. "She's not real."

That's what they keep telling him. How sure is he that it's only an illusion? Can his mind create a wonderful creation? Can his imagination make someone as heavenly as her? God, the questions are making me go insane.

He ducks to the table, covering his eyes and head, waiting for the professor to come and get the day over with. There aren't many students at Yongsamgul, but his search for the woman wasn't successful. He quotes the description he narrated about her: she comes and goes too quickly like a ghost.

What if she was a ghost and he had a third eye?

"Wake up!"

"What?"

Jungkook jolts awake. Had he fallen asleep in class? And no one woke him up? Even in his dream, she haunts her. The face that looks like it belongs to an angel and a voice so soft and smooth it feels like standing under a fall. She's peaceful to look at and to remember.

"It's time for lunch." Jimin invites him out. Half of the day has passed, and still no sign of the woman at the cafeteria. Jungkook is like a hawk, waiting for the time to strike. For heaven's sake, he looks like a stalker. If he wouldn't try until he solves the enchanting mystery of the woman, his sleep won't be as peaceful as it will be.

The rest of his days are like the wind passing him, unnoticed and faint. Before he could leave the university, Jungkook went to the garden to make himself believe he was there and that he was alive that night.

"My pretty moonflowers, may you bloom in harmony." Her voice starts to feel like a fever dream, a bit static. You are going crazy, Jungkook.
