Within the Kingdom of Melromarc, things were not going in the way that the king nor nobles wanted.

The good thing that happened was the Shield Hero was no longer their concern, but the Queen abandoned them along with the Second Princess.

Malty was sworn in as the temporary queen of the kingdom to maintain order with the help of Moyotasu, Ren and Itsuki.

The problems were the villages who were helped by Naofumi and their hatred towards the other heroes for abandoning them.

The other problem were the waves of calamity, the waves were coming quicker than expected and getting worse.

Moyotasu, Ren and Itsuki couldn't defeat some of the waves due to them not working together and no Naofumi there either.

And to make things worse, citizens that were caught in the middle of the waves were outraged at the heroes for ignoring their calls for help.

There were heavy tension with the other kingdoms, who were still outraged by Aultcray summoned the four cardinal heroes.

At the capital, King Aultcray was sitting on the throne, listening to the reports of the recent problems and he was getting more frustrated.

Aultcray: This is getting ridiculous! Why is this happening to my Glorious Kingdom?!

Malty: Father. Maybe it's the doing of the Shield Hero.

Moyotasu: No. We tried that. We couldn't find Naofumi anywhere.

Ren: They have to be somewhere.

Suddenly, 3 Shadows appeared before the king.

Shadow[1]: King Aultcray. I regret to inform you that the Kingdom of Siltvelt has declared war on Melromarc, and an army of 500,000 men are approaching the kingdom.

Itsuki: I'm sure we can handle.
