"Sahab aaj aapko nhi Jaana chahiye... News m dikhaya tha ki badal phat sakta h aaj.... Bhot khatra h.... Teen din se baarish bhi nhi ruki h.....". The taxi driver advised them.
" Sidharth.... Aaj Rehne dete h.... Mausam sachme bhot kharab h....". Shehnaaz said holding his arm. She was scared to death, the dark clouds, heavy rainfall, lightening sounds, she was petrified.
" Tch..... Meri meeting h....Kuch nhi hoga ". He told Shehnaaz, and kept his hand over hers to assure her that happened so naturally that non of them was affected by that.
"tum nhi chal sakte ho to... Kisi or ko bolu m". Sidharth asked the driver.
"saahab neeche ghaat tk chod sakta hu bss... Usse aage nhi....". The driver replied.
"hnn... Jldi chalo bss.... Late ho rha h Pehle hi...". His boss was constantly asking for his presence and he was getting frustrated and moreover the nature was taking the toll.
"betho jldi se". He almost ordered Shehnaaz and indicated driver to put the luggage in the back of taxi.
Shehnaaz sat inside the taxi quietly, her heart was beating way too much fast, she has this negative feeling which was almost killing her. She can't even share it with him because he was already frustrated and she don't want him to scream at her.
After a minute he came and sat beside her and ordered the driver to drive, checking his phone constantly and texting time to time.
She on the other hand was almost shaking with fear because when she looked outside the window, there were just mountains which were looking extremely scary and on the top of that the rain was falling with so much ferocity.
"aahhhh". Shehnaaz almost bumped into the roof of the taxi as it slipped a bit on the road because of something, the taxi was almost at the edge of the mountain, making the situation even worse.
"kaise chala rahe ho yrrr". Sidharth scoffed at the driver.
"maaf kijiyega saahab.....". The driver apologized and after what felt like eternity the car stopped.
"sahab kaise jaaoge ghaat se aage... Bhot tez baarish horhi h....". The driver was genuinely worried.
"vo m dekhlunga.....". Sidharth opened the door and stood outside after giving the money to the driver, completely drenched in the rain.
"Shehnaaz jldi utro". He moved back and took out there laggage.
"huhhh... Hnnn". She too stood beside him, drenching in rain.
"bhaiya yaha se kitni dur p koi taxi milegi". Shehnaaz asked the driver.
"aapko ghaatak paar krni padegi... Or jldi kr kijiyega.. Kyuki nadi ka Paani baarish ki vajeh se upar aarha h... Or ghaat ghiri hui h nadi or pahado se... Kab se kam 2 Km h... Uske Baad milega shyd kuch". The driver told her and started his taxi again, taking a u turn he just left.
" chalo yaha se to paidal hi chalna h.... I'm taking the luggage... Just walk carefully ohk". Luckily they that only one bag. They were literally drenched in the rain, in the middle of a road which was surrounded by mountains and water.
"Sidharth". Shehnaaz almost whimpered when the lightening struck again.
"Shehnaaz itna kyu dar rhi ho... Kuch nhi hua.... Araam se chalo bss.. Kuch nhi hua h... Baarish h bss". He held her hand firmly in his grip to assure that he was there, he could see she was scared to death.
"kuch nhi hoga pkka... Jldi se pohch te h vaha kisi restroom m kapde badal lenge ohk.... Bss thodi der". He told her gently.
"Hmmm". She just hummed.
They started walking on the side of the road when Shehnaaz noticed the water which was coming out of the water.
"Sidharth dekhiye yaha sab jagah Paani bhar gya h.... Mujhe darr lag rha h..... Bijli bhi kitni garaj rahi h....nadi ko dekho... Iska Paani bahar aa raha h... ". Shehnaaz almost cried in fear holding his hand tightly.
"kuch nhi hoga..... Fikr mt karo... Bss jldi jldi chalo..... Ek to ye Saari roads band h aaj....". Sidharth groaned.
He could feel the force of water too, he know they were in a messy situation and her panicking wasn't helping him.
They heard an extremely loud lightening sound and for few seconds everything went silent and then suddenly a huge gush of water came with such a ferocity that it could destroy everything.
They looked back for a second and then at each other. Shehnaaz eyes were wide open in shock and fear and Sidharth heart almost dropped in his stomach.
Before they could process anything the water hit them. All the things went absolutely hazy, the only thing that they heard before the hit was the scream of their for each other.
"Sidhaaaaaarth"
"Shehnaaaaaz". The grip they had each other was lost in the water.
