Griffin's P.O.V
February 14
"Hey love." I said to Maya, as she took a seat in front of me at the lunch
table. " Hey." She replies, smiling. " So, how's it feel to be walking without
crutches again?" I ask. " The same as it did before." She says. It's been
exactly eight weeks since Maya had her "little accident", as she calls it. Since
the day after it, we've been together. I haven't told her, but ever since that
day, I can't think of a time that I've been happier. Even though I know she's
completely mine, sometimes I can't help but be that over-protective boyfriend. I
mean, if you were dating the love of your life, that you had almost lost
completely, you'd probably act in the same fashion. Once she realizes that I'm
not going to reply to her, she begins talking to Phoenix about her mother's
wedding. Not that again.
Ever since Maya realized that her mom kept her relationship a secret from her,
she's been in objection of thw wedding. As if that wasn't enough, her mother is
getting married to Rae's father, making them step-sisters. " Griffin! Are you
listening?" She asks. "Sorry. No, I wasn't listening." I said. " Well, I was
saying that I don't know why, but my mom put Rae in charge of the wedding! Shall
I continue and explain exactly what she's done so far?" She asked. I nodded. "
If you must." I said. From there she went on and on, rambling about how Rae made
herself the maid-of-honor, and didn't even make her a bridesmaid. I had tuned
out again, but then I heard something that caught my attention. " I don't even
think I'm going to the wedding. I know it's my mom's, but I don't want to have
to put up with Rae's annoying attitude." Maya said. I heard Phoenix trying to
reason with her, but there was no luck. Maya's pretty stubborn, so I didn't
expect for her to change her mind that easily. After about ten more minutes of
hearing her and Phoenix arguing back and forth, the lunch period was over, and
Maya and Cari left for ELA.
Cari's P.O.V
"Hey." Maya said, as she sat down next to me in ELA. " Hey." I replied. " So,
how was detention?" She asked. " Boring." I replied. She started laughing at me.
" It's not that funny. The only reason I'm in detention is because of that b****
Rae. I can't stand her! I never have, and I never will. Anyways, since Maya was
in the hospital, recovering on the night of the Fall Mixer, Adam has recently
rescheduled our performance to Spring Fling, on March 23rd. " So how's it going
with Griffin?" I asked. " Just great." She said, smiling. " What about you and
