Things were a blur for James, a week flew by easily and he didn't even know it. He was still hiding in that shed, his cheeks were still stained as he sit there zoned out. He didn't know what to do, he felt like nothing was left to do and he felt empty. He began to get hungry but he refused to eat, his tears still coming as he thought of his sister's dull eyes and unmoving body. The blood covering her side. He closed his eyes trying to think of something else, anything else But he just couldn't and he sobbed quietly. He needed to focus, to get out of the area and find shelter but he just couldn't, he wouldn't. He sighed shakily and sniffled, finally wiping his tears he hoisted himself up, he felt light headed and he opened his bag and ate a small can of beans before he looked around the shed. There was a bow and some arrows in the back of the room and he grabbed them, attaching them to his bag before he sat down again. He didn't want to go, he didn't feel like moving. The dread was so heavy on his shoulders he just couldn't bear it. But he got up again and looked for bullets. There was only 5 in a small drawer in the work bench and he shrugged putting them in his bag before he left. He walked out of the town carrying his switchblade in case of need and his pistol on his side. He was headed West, like always and he sighed shakily as he walked, he was becoming paranoid but he shook it off and pulled his bandana over his face. His blue eyes were fogging as he was about to cry again but he held it in and just sniffled not wanting to draw unwanted attention amd he continued on his way and soon was met with a highway.
Five hours later
Hours later he found himself meeting the road and headed towards a city. After awhile he made it to a bridge and he walked and walked, jumping and sliding over and under cars that blocked the road and he sighed shakily. His chest felt heavy ever since he left the shed and he felt like he could just drop dead. He felt lonely but he walked as if he was on autopilot. Not really caring where he was going, he just walked. He met with an intersection after awhile and he went right. He looked around and saw a small drug store and he tried opening the door but it wouldn't budge so he went around and broke the door down while holding his pistol. He looked around but found nothing and he sat down near a cabinet grabbing pain meds, and any ointments that could clean a wound. He pulled the bandana down to get a breather and he fluffed his messy brown hair as he looked around. The store was rather small and eerie but he shrugged it off and put the remaining meds in his bag and left the building. When he turned put of the alley however a hug machine was heard and he quickly hid, poking his head out slightly. It was a tank, "A fucking Tank!? Shit!" He ran down the alley, avoiding any kind of contact with the dammed thing and he moved, alley to alley as he made it to a sewage pipe he walked into it "This is just fucking digusting.." He gagged but held it in as he couched, putting his bandana back on and covering his nose as he went deeper and deeper. As he walked in began to get less shallow and he stopped as he heard a weird noise echo throughout the entire space, but before he could react a stupid ass fungi covered bitch grabbed his foot, taking him under the water causing him to thrash and turn as he held his breath. He kicked at the dammed things hands until it let go and he swam away quickly and hoisted himself up on the side of the sewage pipe, coughing, he quickly got up carrying his soaked bag he got out a flash light, smacking it to see if it'd turn on "Damnit!" Soon he snacked it. Hard. And it came on "There we go," He sighed and he checked his legs for any scratches or bruises but he didn't see anything in the dark and so he continued his journey. After awhile he grew tired, his chest was becoming tight and his hands were getting clammy and he soon sat down and as he did tears started pouring out of control and he couldn't stop them so he just let them fall. He didn't make any noise except for muffled sniffling and he closed his eyes, putting his head against the wall and he cursed under his breath as he looked around. "Flora... I can't do this without you.." He spoke under his breath "I'm scared... terrified.. I'm not sure how much longer I can go.." He sniffled and he opened his eyes and sighed shakily before getting back up, his chest feeling tighter then before and he just walked as his stomach began to feel even more empty. As he walked and walked he came upon a man hole opening and he climbed the latter, holding himself up as he held the flashlight in his mouth, wrapping a leg around the ladder as he used his two hands to twist the heavy peice of metal and push it up, as he got it he climbed up and put the flashlight away, walking westward again. He was becoming tired as the sun began to set and he felt like he might collapse. He continued walking for awhile but he soon found a small seven story building and went up to the third floor, setting out a sleeping bag and a small lantern. He looked at the ceiling for a long while and his eyes began to close slowly. As his eyes shut, memories of him and his sister flooded his head and tears fell as he tossed and turned in his sleep..
