| As the next day arrived, I woke up feeling a bit sluggish, not wanting to do anything. I sighed and sat up in bed as I watched the sunrise through my window. But eventually I had to get up.. I got up and felt my cat rub against my legs, I smiled and pet her
"Mornin kitty..~"
I walked over to the bag and put some food down for her. Then I took a shower and got dressed to go out, but before I did all of that I watered my crops, and fed all of my animals. Then i grabbed my fishing rod and walked into town.
"Good morning Y/n."
I turned to my side and saw Shane greet me, me and him have been somewhat close friends ever since I moved here. He has a cold exterior but once you get to know him he's a little sweet.
"Morning Shane, what's up?"
He put his hands in his pockets and walked over to me.
"I know you know that I own chickens, but at any chance do you have just 3 eggs to give out? Or ill just buy em from you."
"Hmm? Of course I do, but that's true.. you do own your own chickens. Do you just like the taste better of my eggs or something else..?" I questioned.
"Oh, it's just Jas wants to compare my eggs from yours."
I chuckled then put on of my hands in my pocket while the other was holding the fishing rod.
"Of course! I'd be happy too give you a couple of eggs."
Shane let out a small little smile then fixed his Joja hat.
"Thanks, can I have them by tomorrow?"
"Yeah sure, maybe today even if I don't have much work."
He then started to walk to Joja and gave me a small pat on my shoulder before walking away.
"Thanks Y/n, good luck with fishing."
I said bye to Shane then started to walk to the beach, it was a nice day, it was nice and warm with some clouds in the sky. I sat down at the edge of the dock and put some bait on the end of my fishing hook, then I reeled it in the lake and waited patiently to catch a fish. That was the hardest part of fishing.. waiting and waiting... As time went by I did get lucky and feel my fishing rod tug on something. But when I tried to pull it in the fish swam away.
This is a lot harder than I thought...
I sighed heavily and tilted my head up looking at the pretty blue sky. Then I started to think about Elliott again. Gus did say he lived in the small little cabin by the beach. It wouldn't hurt to pay him a visit right? Plus I wanna make sure he's okay from last night. I chuckled at my thought then pulled my fishing rod in and laid it down on the dock next to Willys shop. I stood up and started to walk to the cabin. I couldn't help but feel a little nervous.. what if he isn't home? What if I'm bothering him? But I still couldn't help but think about seeing him. As I walked to his front door I stared at it for a second, then I took a deep breath and knocked on it gently.
...
It was quiet..
Should've know better..
Before I walked away I heard the door knob jiggle, it made me jump a little hearing it so suddenly. Then the door opened revealing Elliott. His hair was a little more messy than usual, his hand holding a feather pen with ink on the tip of it. As he saw me his expression looked a little surprised to see me.
"Y/n! I didn't expect you to pay me a visit at this time, especially from what happened yesterday night."
I let out a chuckle then crossed my arms.
"Just thought I'd check up on you, want to make sure that you've slept well and everything."
I could see a soft smile form on his lips. And to be honest, it made me smile a bit too..
"You're too kind, and yes I did sleep well. I didn't fall asleep on my desk like last time!"
I let out a little laugh at the thought of him falling asleep while he's writing.
"Oh! Please come in, excuse my rudeness."
"No worries. You aren't being rude at all.."
He moved out of the way and gestured me to come inside. I smiled softly then walked into his little cabin.
