|I got a bit lost but made my way to the dance. And it was really pretty. Pierre set up a stand for selling his goods. Everyone from the town was there.

"Y/n! I see the dress fits nice!"

I turned to see Emily with Caroline. She had a pretty white dress on too.

"It fit wonderfully. I can't thank you enough.."

She laughed enthusiastically and put her hands in the pockets of her dress.

"You're very welcome.. And it had pockets too if you didn't find them."

I imidelty slipped my hands down to where the pockets were and felt my hands in them.

"I didn't even know they had pockets. This makes it so much better."

"Yep! I include all of my dresses with pockets."

I smiled at her warmly and sighed.

"It's wonderful.." I said to her softly.

"I'm happy you like it.. I won't keep you for too long now. See ya!"

I started to walk in the other direction saying hi to everyone else. But for some reason I felt a bit anxious.. I looked around me and and saw that there was a table full of food. I didnt have breakfast so I decided to walk there and get something to eat. While walking there I saw Elliott talking too Leah. I looked at the both of them for a second then at the food table. There was a bowl full of red fruit punch and other foods.

"Hey Y/n, getting food too?"

I turned over to the voice and saw Shane snacking on the jello. I turned to him and saw he was wearing a blue suit with a small flower in his breast pocket. I sighed and closed my eyes for a second.

"Eh, I guess.. Feeling a bit thirsty." I said as I went to grab two cups and began to fill them with punch.

He then gave me a look and went back to eating his jello.

"Something bothering you?" He asked.

I looked over at him and put both of the cups down.

"I'll be fine. Just feeling a bit anxious is all really."

Shane gave me a small smerk then patted my back.

"It'll pass. We've all been there."

I relaxed my shoulders slightly and closed my eyes for a second.

"You're right.. Maybe I'm just excited?" I told him, questioning myself.

"Maybe, its your first dance so that's probably why too."

"Yeah.. I feel like thats the reason.."

I then got the two cups and looked down at them.

"What are you doing with two cups anyways? Gonna down them both?"

I chuckled and took a sip out of one of them.

"Nah.. I'm gonna give the other one to one of my friends."

Shane then finished his jello and got some punch for himself too.

"Mkay farmer. See you later.."

He then walked over to Jas who was playing with Vincent. Handing her the cup of fruit punch.

"Stay hydrated Jas. Drink up." I could hear him say faintly.

Shane really cared for Jas. It made my heart feel warm when I saw him and her together. I looked back down at the two cups and then over at Elliott.

"Should I walk over?"

"What if he's too busy talking to Leah..?"

"What if he dosent wanna see me right now?"

All of my thoughts turned into a negative ball of overthinking. I tried my best to shake them away and made my way towards the both of them.

"Hey Elliott! Want some punch?"

I said holding the cup out towards him.

He looked at me and saw a warm smile creep upon his face.

"Y/n! I was just thinking about you."

Then he looked down at the cup and back up at me.

"And of course. I'm feeling a bit thirsty now that you mentioned it."

He then grabbed the cup out of my hand and took a sip.

"Hey farmer, up to anything?" Leah asked.

"Oh! Not really.. just talking with everyone."

She shared a warm smile at me and adjusted her braid.

"Thats nice.. I'm glad you're making friends here already."

"Yeah! Me too.. I thought it'd take way longer."

She let out a soft laugh and crossed her arms.

"Everyone here is friendly. So it's easy-"

Before she could finish she was interrupted by Caroiline.

"Leah! Mind if you could lend a hand?"

She looked over at Caroline and nodded.

"Yeah!"

Leah then started to walk over to Caroline and said bye to the both of us. Leaving me and Elliott alone.

"That dress looks lovely on you, Y/n.."

I looked over at him as he was looked at me with a soft look on his face. I felt myself blush slightly from his compliment.

"Thank you Elliott, you don't look bad yourself either.."

"You're far too kind farmer." He said as he chuckled and took another sip of his drink.

"Say, do you have a partner for this year's flower dance?"

As thoes words left his mouth I felt my heart slightly pound a little. I looked over at the lake where me and Elliott were standing by. Looking at my reflection in it.

"No..  not this year."

There was a quiet pause before i finished my drink and tossed it in a trash can next to us.

"Then do you care to be my dance partner?"

I quickly turned my head over to him, seeing he was still looking at me. I felt my heart beat a little faster now.

"What should I say?"

"Should I say yes?"

"Should I say no?"

"What if he wants to dance with someone else?"

My thoughts started to get jumbled in my head again. I quickly spat out an answer hoping it would be the right one he was hoping for.

"Yeah! Sure.. that'd be nice.."

When I said that I felt my heart beat out of my chest. For some reason.. I was hoping deep down inside he'd say he'd wanna dance to. But whatever answer he gave me I wouldn't argue with.

"Then, I'll be more than happy to share this dance with you."

I felt a jolt of butterflies in my stomach when he said that. I felt a smile curl on my lips as he said that. He let out a chuckle seeing the smile on my face. We both looked at each other for a second. But it didn't feel creepy, nor awkward. I softened my expression relaxing myself a little..

"Flower Dance starts in a bit! Get your pairs and gather in the middle!"

We both turned to the mayor who was gesturing everyone who had a partner to go in the middle.

"Let's dance now, shall we?"|
