Monty was walking alone back to his greenroom. He could walk with Chica or Roxy, but... he wasn't too happy with them. Their whole 'denial' charades are getting on his nerves. They say Bonnie and Freddy were broken, that Bonnie was irresponsible and selfish, and it got under the gator's skin a lot.

He could not explain why, though. Back when Bonnie was alive, the gator had a weird likeness for him. He felt oddly possessive and clingy to him, even now he felt a protectiveness towards him. An obligation to stand up for him when the others spoke poorly of him. He didn't want Bonnie spending time with anyone but him. He envied Bonnie, but not the same way he envied Freddy.

He was cold and angry towards Freddy, but with Bonnie, he was the opposite. He just loved everything about him. Bonnie was far from broken.

He glanced at his reflection as he walked. He was bigger now, stronger, and just better in general. Sometimes, he gets weird thoughts of...

What if Bonnie saw him now?

Would he be impressed?

He was beginning to realize what his jealousy was coming from. He would say it was because Freddy was stronger, more charming, and a better singer, but that was not actually the case, at least not entirely.

He wanted to be a Glamrock, yes... but it wasn't just because he wanted fame...

It was because he wanted to impress Bonnie. He wanted the bunny to like him more than he liked Freddy. He wanted Bonnie to be his friend alone.

He wanted to be a Glamrock so he could be on stage with Bonnie, so he could hang out with him more. So Bonnie would be impressed by him.

But that was never going to happen. Bonnie and Freddy were inseparable, and although Monty couldn't say he hadn't imagined being more than friends with Bonnie. That is what confused him most.

He liked him and wanted to be around him, but he didn't think he wanted anything more than that, nothing like Bonnie and Freddy had for each other. Or did he?

Monty shook those thoughts off. Emotions were too confusing anyway. No wonder Bonnie and Freddy kept this hidden. He sighed and kept moving, a feeling of melancholy weighing him down at the thought of the bunny.

He thought back to Bonnie's final words to him... the disappointment and betrayal in his eyes... and that is why he died. Because he didn't trust Monty anymore. Monty felt himself tearing up and sped to his room quicker to avoid unwanted attention.

When it was time for the next show, Monty was oddly quiet. The others brushed it off. They were all doing a bit better than their first show without Bonnie. This time, Monty had practiced the song thoroughly before performing. He was about to utilize some of Freddy's advice.

He had a bass solo in this song, but thankfully, it was much shorter and easier than the last one.

As the show went on, he blended in well and wouldn't push himself. That is, until it came for his solo.

He rehersed it in his head. He had to fake it to make it. Bonnie's words stood out to him. What Bonnie had told him about feeling confident improving his performance. What Freddy had said also made a lot of sense. To just be himself, be unique.

So he didn't care if he would get in trouble. He didn't care if he would never be as graceful, smooth, or charming as Bonnie was on stage. If there was one thing he was good at, it was chaos.

When his part finally came, he held his head high and jogged forward to be closer to the audience. He let loose while he played and made a lot of erratic movements, such as head banging and stomping. He made sure to smile as wide as possible to show off his rows of sharp and let out a booming laugh as he finished.

To his amazement, the audience went wild after his solo. They actually loved him! The rest of the show went by so smoothly as Monty felt a massive weight lifted off his chest.

When the platform lowered, he felt a rough hand pat his back.

"Way to go, Monty! Your solo was wonderful!" Freddy praised. Monty giggled and nodded a thank you.

"I followed yer' advice, it really helped! Thanks, man!" He smiled. Chica was next to trap him in a tight hug and praise him for the good show. Roxanne didn't say anything, but he could see it in her eyes. Monty began thinking he may just enjoy being in the band.
