• Chapter 3 •

Bonnie and Monty ended up going to Bonnie's greenroom to talk instead. It was definitely calmer and more private. Monty couldn't help but admire the calming and quiet feeling the room gave. He fidgeted nervously on the sofa while Bonnie patiently waited for him to speak, sitting at his vanity.

"I uh...I met the Daycare sun guy -" Monty said. Bonnie laughed.

"They didn't scare you, did they?" He joked, placing an elbow on the vanity table and resting his cheek on his palm casually. Monty shook his head. "I... they brought up the band, and... I asked if anyone could join because you guys looked so cool, and Freddy and them said no." He looked down. Bonnie furrowed his brows.

"Did Freddy say that?" His voice grew harsher, as if he was upset. Monty shook his head swiftly.

"N-no... Sun told me, but... when I asked, Freddy just looked away and wouldn't answer... it made me feel really bad..." He admitted. Bonnie scoffed.

"I'll have a word with Freddy about that... that was very unprofessional." Bonnie scolded. Montly glanced down solemnly. When the bunny saw this, he lifted his head again and frowned empathetically, gesturing to his seat.

"C'mere. Just 'cause you're not in the band doesn't mean you can't be a Glamrock." He said. Monty tilted his head to the side in confusion, and the bunny only chuckled at his reaction. He stood up and gestured to his seat.

"Here, come to the vanity." He repeated. Monty hesitantly approached and sat at the chair Bonnie was leaning over. Once he sat, the bunny removed his hat and picked up a brush from his vanity.

"W-what are ya' doin'-?" Monty asked.

"Making you a superstar." Bonnie responded with a grin. He carelessly tossed the hat aside and began running his claws through his hair and brushing. Monty didn't know how to feel about this, but something told him to trust the process. It appeared Bonnie knew what he was doing anyway. He took this time to look over the products in Bonnie's vanity in amazement. He picked one of them up and examined the tube labeled "makeup." Bonnie glanced down through the mirror and smiled.

"You' messing with my stuff?" He teased. Monty jumped and set it down quickly again, which the bunny giggled at.

"It's ok, I was kidding, Monty!" He continued his styling. Monty picked it up and looked it over again.

"What is it...?" He asked.

"Sometimes our body paint gets chipped throughout the day, but it can take a bit to fix. So, if it's an emergency, we use that makeup to clean up the lines." He answered. Monty hesitantly opened the tube to investigate it.
"You want makeup too?" Bonnie asked. Monty's face heated up in embarrassment, and he quickly set the tube down again.

"I-I don't know... I was just looking!" He explained. Bonnie set the brush down and reached for the makeup. He opened the tube and picked up a brush from a small holding container, and dipped it into the substance before kneeling down in front of the gator.

"Hold still." He instructed. The gator nodded obediently and froze as the bunny painted on his face.

"Are you giving me a star like you??" He questioned excitedly. Bonnie hummed.

"I was going to. Why, did you want something else?" He asked. Monty shrugged.

"What do you think would look good on me?" He asked. Bonnie grinned as he thought of something and went back to his makeup. When Bonnie finished, he turned Monty back to the mirror and gestured for him to look. The gator stared in awe at the design. It seemed like just a sharp line down his forehead, but it looked so appealing to him. He was interrupted from his gaze as Bonnie dabbed some paint on his nose. He jumped and glanced back at the bunny to see him giggling immaturely at his little stunt. Monty grinned and reached into the makeup with his claws and smeared some on Bonnie's cheek in response. The bunny only laughed harder and pushed him away.
