The Heiress And The Nundu (Year Two)

Chapter Nine:The Chat.

Narrators POV.

"Welcome to Hogwarts for the new students. Welcome back to Hogwarts for all years above and I wish all of you a good year. I wish good luck for fifth years of their upcoming OWLS and wish a good last year for seventh years".

Dumbledore announced to the school, he may seem happy but he was scheming in his head on how to get Harper under his control. He started in conversing to Molly about getting her precious daughter to befriend her.

Unfortunately Molly's daughter Ginny couldn't find Harper on the train and was sorted to Gryffindor. He hated how he was being outsmarted out of his carefully laid out plans. To make matters worse, Molly made a scene infront of Harper at Florish and Botts and was blasted by a muggleborn who claimed to be Narcissas friend. He wondered where everything went wrong for him.

He shook the thoughts away as he introduced his new DADA teacher, despite Severus signing up for it first. He claimed it would trigger Serverus's dark mark. In reality, he didn't want Severus teaching the students what he knew instead of what he approves. It's like the Magical Creature Reserve all over again. Speaking of Severus, he seems to be steering clear of him lately ever since last year. He didn't mind much, thinking Severus was loathing over Harper despite her looking a lot like Lily and inheriting everything of her.

"Anyways, welcome our new defense against dark arts professor, professor Gildory Lockhart".

Dumbledore introduced as Gildory waved and recieved many gasps from females, he hoped that Harper might fall for him like the other witches. It might weaken her guard and she will fall under control again, however, it seems that wasn't the case.

Harper just looked at him blankly and rolled her eyes at him. It confused him greatly, he was aware of Gildory casting charms on himself of attracting females attention. Harper didn't seem to care about him, he shook his head sideways.

"Alright let's begin the feast as I am hungry just as much as our new first years, enjoy".

Harpers POV.

I ate dinner with my friends and Luna, still thinking of what Luna wanted to discuss with me. If I remember correctly, the high elves had passed over to the west when the time of elves were over. I ate absent mindedly until it was time to leave for the common rooms of Ravenclaw.

"Alright Luna, I'll meet you up in the common room".

I told her as me, Padma, Lisa and Sue left to the great staircase.

After climbing up the staircase and answering a riddle from the eagle, we made it to the commonroom. I smiled, feeling happy to be at my second home, I see the Grey Lady or Helena Ravenclaw.

"Hello Helena, had a good holiday in the castle?".

I greeted her as she sees me and smiled a small smile.

"I suppose it's been alright, it would have been peaceful if it wasn't for the Bloody Baron bothering me".

She told me as I nodded, Padma, Sue and Lisa left me alone as I chatted with Helena for a bit till the first years come. Helena had disappeared, saying she needed to be somewhere else.

"Welcome to the house of Ravenclaw first years, this is the common rooms where you'll be staying in for the time in Hogwarts. Boys common room upstairs on the left, girls same on the right. This house strives on studying and expects good grades so if you are stuck on a subject. Don't be afraid to ask me or a senior for help, tomorrow I will be handing out your schedules at the great hall. Have a good sleep ".

I smiled at Professor Flitwicks speech as all of the first years went upstairs except for Luna. She wondered towards me with her usual dreamy smile.

"Hello Luna, shall we talk about your hidden status?".
