The Heiress And The Nundu (Year Two)

Chapter Ten:John and Sirius's Investigation.

Narrators POV.

It was the first day for Sirius to be taken in as an auror by John and Amelia. He was a bit nervous but he was excited to be an auror once again. He was escorted to the auror department by John in the ministry, it looked exactly the same as he left it.

The desks were in the same place. Investigation boards were full and the aurors were talking to eachother. They weren't doing their work at all.

"Welcome back Sirius".

Kingsley was the first one to welcome him back, Sirius nodded at the welcome given by Kingsley.

"Thank you Kingsley, I'm happy to be back, how's Nymthadora and Remus been?".

"I told you not to call me that uncle!".

There came Nymthadora Tonks, his niece that is a metaphagus. Her hair had changed from bubblegum pink to crimson red to show her anger. She had started working as a healer in Saint Mungo's but is being trained to be an auror. Sirius sweat dropped at Tonks anger.

"Sorry Tonks, just excited to be back is all, where's Remus?".

"He's taking time off, you know how he's a werewolf and all".

Kingsley told Sirius as he nodded, it was then that Kingsley and Tonks had noticed John.

"I don't think I've met you before, who are you?".

"Really?, I've seen you escorting Sirius at the trial and you don't remember me? Oh well, my names John, John Woods. Nice to meet you Kingsley Shaklebolt, Amelia told me about you".

John introduced himself as Tonks became starry eyed, she had never met anyone like him before. He seems charming and good hearted with a lot of ambitions.

"Oh hello handsome- ah I mean John, sorry, you just look so handsome, Jeez is it hot in here?".

Tonks asked as Sirius looked at John with a 'really?' Look. John shrugged but he smiled at Tonks kindly.

"That's very kind of you Tonks, I'd say that you are as ravishing as the stars above".

"Alright John, stop flirting with my niece".

Tonks got giggly at John's compliment as Sirius grabbed John's hand and began dragging him away.

"Awe, it's a compliment Sirius, bye Tonks and Kingsley!".

Soon John and Sirius had disappeared from Tonks and Kingsley sight. Tonks hair had changed from bubblegum pink to hot pink. Kingsley noticed.

"You got a crush on him don't you? I won't lie, he's got charm and style".

Back with Sirius and John, they had made it to Amelia's office. John had gotten a scolding from Sirius for complimenting Tonks and he can't blame him.

"Don't worry Sirius, I wasn't flirting, I was being nice".

"Geez John, you don't go around flirting with other woman, even if they are someone's nieces".

Sirius told him, surprising himself completely. Sirius was surprised he was saying that, given his history with women in his life. John chuckled at Sirius's seriousness.

"Oh alright fine, I'm sorry John, just remember, I am a woman magnet, a pretty strong one too".

John foretold as Sirius huffed and they entered Amelia's office. She was in the middle of a discussion with Scrimagour and Cornelius about the prisoners in Azkaban.

"Ah, good morning Mr. Woods and lord Black, just in time, the meeting had just ended".

Amelia told them as Scrimagour looked at Sirius and John, mainly John and scoffed at him. Meanwhile Cornellius put on a smile and clapped both of his hands together.

"Ah lord Black and Mr. Woods, how nice of you to start your first day as aurors".

"Actually it's Sirius's first day back as an auror. He's going to be my acquaintance and under my watch for the time being".

John told him as Amelia nodded in agreement.

"Me and Mr. Woods were discussing it together minister and we felt it'll be best for lord Black to work with Mr. Woods. After all, he does have experience".

Amelia pointed out as Cornelius only nodded quickly, anything to keep Sirius and John happy. He is aware of Sirius and John's background. With Sirius being a lord, he wants influence and support from him in staying minister of Britain.

Meanwhile John works in the ICW and is an American auror. He doesn't want to get into trouble with the ICW and MACUSA. If anything, he wants to make sure that Britain and America stays as allies.

"Well I better head off to the office, got paperwork to do goodbye".

Cornelius left Amelia's office as Sirius and John grinned at each other. Scrimagour didn't like John for many reasons but he can't say it out loud as he's also aware of his resume.

"I'll be taking my leave".

Scrimagour left as it was just Sirius, Amelia and John in the office by themselves. Amelia sighed as she raised an eye brow at Sirius and John.

"Good morning Sirius and John, what do you need?".

"Well we will start by doing an investigation. The Malfoys have lost a dangerous relic that was a diary of a dark lord named Voldywarts".

Amelia tilted her head when John said that but she had a slight smile on her face.
Sirius was trying to hold in his laugh at the given name.

"Anyways, I suspect something about that diary and I need your full support to let us do this investigation in private. Meaning you take an oath and not reveal to anyone about the mere mention of this conversation. You may join in on the investigation and we will report to you on what we have found. Do we have your support?".

John asked as Sirius was amazed, it seems John is the Slytherin type after all. Amelia thought for a moment but nodded as she pull out her wand.

"You've done nothing but tell the truth during your stay in Magical Britain John Woods. I Amelia Bones, lady to the house of Bones. Swear an oath to not reveal to anyone anything about this investigation and I accept the terms of conditions. So mote it be".

While Amelia was saying that her wand was glowing white as the magical around hers and John's glowed brightly. Soon the magic disappeared as Amelia did a 'lumos' spell and her wand was glowing lightly.

"Thank you Amelia, we will not disappoint you".

"Your welcome, I hope with your investigation that this will restart the auror department back to its former glory. The room you two requested will be set up close to my office soon. Meaning both of you go on a coffee break for now and when your finished with your coffee break. You two may begin".
