The brunette ran a frustrating hand through her short hair. She tugged at the roots of the short strands. Angrily Keira punched the wall of the building. Keira sighed and fell to the floor on her ass. She hugged her knees and inhaled deeply. Cora. Keira felt tears sting her eyes but she blinked them away. Keira couldn't feel the twin connection between her and Cora anymore. The seventeen year old assumed the worst. Her twin could be dead.
Cora wasn't answering her phone, she couldn't track her because she cut the twin line— or it cut itself. Keira huffed once again the once anger turned to remorse and sadness. The short haired girl decided she'd call her brother, he would know what to do.
Keira picked up her phone from sitting on the floor beside her. She opened it and picked the contact Derek. The phone rang only four times until the male picked up.
"Keira?"
"Hey, bro." Keira's voice was strained.
"Ke, what's wrong?" Derek used the nickname Cora called the girl.
Keira almost choked.
"I can't feel her anymore, Der."
"What do you mean, Ke?"
"Cora, I- I can't feel her, our bond it's gone."
Derek paused. Keira could hear the slight change in his breathing pattern.
"Okay relax, come stay with me and Peter and we'll figure it out. okay?"
"yea, okay, love you."
"Love you too, dork."
Keira hung up the phone and sat it to her side; still on the floor. She inhaled deeply. Her nostrils flared. Keira stood, and grabbed her phone. She looked around the house she and Cora lived at. Cora's scent still lingers around the house. Keira grabbed her phone and looked at the time. 11:45pm Keira raised an eyebrow. It felt later.
Keira bit her bottom lip studying the house. She turned around to the wall she hit and winced. It had cracked and a hole was there. She thinned her lips. It was Saturday which means if she packed now, and drove to Beacon Hills where Derek was she'd arrive Sunday morning. But, she had to inform Central High School that she was leaving. But Cora didn't, she just left to go on 'vacation'. Keira shook her head.
Cora was a troublemaker. Keira huffed again. She walked towards her bedroom, grabbing a suitcase from the closet. She opened the suitcase walking back to her closet. First, she grabbed all of her short sleeved shirts and took them off the hanger. She folded then and shoved them in her suitcase. There wasn't much room in the suitcase, so Keira decided to grab her bars and underwear. She showed them in the suitcase as well, and shoved it shut.
Keira grabbed a black monster 'sleepover bag' and grabbed her jeans. She had about ten pairs of those folded up in her dresser and placed them in the bag. Next, she grabbed her socks – luckily they were all in pairs together – and placed them in the bag. She went to the side pockets of the bag and grabbed her bathroom stuff and threw those in there.
She went back to her closet grabbing the biggest and last suitcase in there. She stuffed the rest of her clothes in there. She went and grabbed a bag from Cora's room. Quickly shutting the door not thinking about her sister. She threw her shoes in there and moved the bags and suitcases out of the room. Leaving her posters and stuff.
She grabbed her keys off the kitchen counter and walked to her car. It was fall so it was cold at night. Keira went outside and started her black Chevy truck. She took the house keys off the keychain that was attached to the truck's keys and walked back inside. She loaded the backseat of the truck with her belongings. Keira swore as she walked back into her room for her beanies. She grabbed an AC/DC one and put it on, throwing the others in a bag.
Keira walked out of the house not looking behind her, until the door was closed and locked. She threw her beanies in the backseat, and hopped in the front. She sat there for a moment connecting her phone and hitting play. Sugar We're Going Down By Fall Out Boy started to play. She turned on the heat, and backed out of the driveway.
She rode down the road. She sang quietly to the song. Beacon Hills was about three hours from where they lived so Keira took the long way not wanting to have to sleep in the car.

About an hour in the drive the teen stopped at a gas station. She got out of the truck and grabbed a monster. It was about one in the morning. She paid to avoid the eye of the worker. She got back in the truck and drove along. Keira turned up the volume on the radio. She sighed, even though she didn't want to, she was gonna have to rent a room somewhere.
Keira chugged the monster and kept driving. Derek was gonna kill her anyway if he found out she drove this late at night; well this early in the morning so to speak.
