Derek groaned. He rolled over on his stomach, his bare skin meeting the cool sheets. The sound of a car pulling up, alerted him. He pushed his arms on the bed, sitting up. He grabbed his phone, the bright screen causing him to growl and turn down the brightness. He looked at the time. 7:38am. Derek rolled his eyes in annoyance, if that was his baby sister, he was gonna kill her.
Derek got off the bed, putting a shirt on and walked down stairs to see Peter reading on the arm chair. Derek squinted his eyes at him. Derek still didn't trust his uncle but he ignored it. He made some coffee and waited for a knock at the door. It never came, so after about ten minutes Derek grabbed his phone.
"She's not going to knock. She thinks we're still asleep." Peter ruined Derek's peace and quiet.
Derek raised an eyebrow. "So she's-" Derek was cut off by the sound of footsteps.
"Speak of the devil." Peter spoke.
"Hey, I heard that." Keira opened the unlocked door.
She had changed clothes and took a shower at the hotel she stopped at. Keira smelled like her body wash and her natural forest smell. She had on a black beanie with a dark forest green hoodie on. Her blacked jeans were ripped at each knee, and her jordans looked a little roughed up.
Derek eyed Peter questionable, at the unlocked door anyone could barge into. Derek smiled at his sister.
"Keira, good to see you." Derek said, fighting the urge to hug the girl.
Keira ran to Derek and hugged her brother. She sniffed him, and rubbed her nose in his shoulder. Derek placed a hand on the back of her neck, scenting her. Keira let go first and glared at Peter. Peter stood and opened his arms slightly walking towards his little niece. Keira hugged the grown man around the waist sniffing him as well.
"Nice of you to finally come see us bug." Peter spoke with a soft smile across his lips.
Keira scrunched up her nose at him.
"Wait, don't tell me your ass didn't come here with no clothes..?" Derek asked.
"Nope didn't bring any." Keira smiled.
Derek's eyes widened, until Keira laughed. "Relax yea, I brought my things."
Derek frowned, and snarled at the sarcastic comment he believed.
"Well c'mon bug, let's go get your stuff and move you into your room." Peter gestured towards the door.

Derek sighed when Keira brought up Cora. After putting Keira's stuff in her room, Peter offered to take his niece and nephew to brunch. Peter raised his eyebrow at the mention of Cora. When Keira explained how she went on a 'vacation' out of town, and stopped texting Keira and the bond breaking. Peter had a look of shock and worry.
Then glared at Derek for not telling him. Derek shrugged him off and glanced at his sister, she was bouncing her leg and fiddling with her food.
Derek smiled sympathetically at the girl. Keira smiled back, and took a bite of her food. Peter watched the interaction between the girls and smiled. The pair had always been close, even after the fire. But Derek always came second to Cora.
After eating Peter took the pair back to the loft. The trio watched a movie, letting Keira pick. They ended up watching all of the avengers. Keira could have sworn she saw Derek and Peter tear while watching Endgame, which she snickers at earning a glare from both the males.
After the movies Keira retired to her room. Keira showered and laid down on the unknown bed. She tossed and turned without finding sleep so she began to unpack and hang things up. In the living room Derek and Peter looked at each other, hearing the shuffling around in Keira's room. They shared a knowing look, deciding not to question the teenager.
Keira hung up her shirts and hoodies in the closet. Folded her jeans more neatly and placed them in the dresser, along with her bras, socks, and underwear. She grabbed her shoes and placed them neatly on the closet floor. Then, grabbing her bathroom supplies and putting them in the bathroom.
Keira sighed as she pulled her phone from her pocket. Her and Cora had matching lock screens – though Cora didn't know that – it was her and Cora, they were at some party and a guy offered to take a picture of the pair. Cora set it as her wallpaper, and so did Keira. Cora didn't know it but Keira cared and loved the girl as much as Cora did her.
Keira plugged up her phone and laid on the bed once again. She didn't have school tomorrow because it was a teacher service day or something. She and Derek could go tomorrow and get her in Beacon Hill High.
