CHAPTER 7

The next day, Taehyun woke up early. Let's just say he set an alarm for 4AM only because Beomgyu's class is in 7AM when his is in 1PM.

Why?

Taehyun starts getting ready with the balloons and then proceeds to the gifts. They are planning to surprise Beomgyu but Yeonjun said to surprise him after class yet here is Taehyun, preparing it so early.

Soobin walked in on Taehyun preparing everything, half-asleep. "Taehyun.. you know you could do that later, right? Beomgyu might walk in on you preparing." He said, following a yawn.

"Um no? He won't." Taehyun said, facing back to the balloons.

"Taehyun, he lives in the same building, same floor as us in this hotel. There is no impossibilities in that." Soobin responded, grabbing a glass of water.

"Yeah, but I told him to prepare early for his class. I told him not to bother me because I'm having my beauty rest."

"Well, you're definitely not."

Taehyun shrugs his shoulder. "Exactly. It's for my sake."

"Why are you doing this?" Soobin asked before he drank his water. "Are you even the Taehyun I know?"

"What?" Taehyun asked, looking at Soobin in confusion.

"I just know last time, you were trying to push this man out of your sight and now you're waking up 5 hours early to prepare for his birthday celebration."

"Well, I have to make it up to him." Taehyun responded before leaving Soobin stunned.

Soobin sighed.

Did Beomgyu do something to Taehyun? This is not the Taehyun he knows.

Soobin cleared his throat. "Taehyun, I don't mean to say this but are you in love?"

"What- NO! Hyung, why would say anything like that? Can't care without having romantic feelings?" Taehyun defended.

"No, I'm not saying that. Why are you being so defensive about it?" Soobin raised an eyebrow.

"Huh? No, I-I'm just denying."

"Okay, calm down."

Taehyun scoffed. "Can you get out of my way, please? You are distracting me."

"Alright, I will. Good luck preparing!" Soobin smiled like nothing happened then entered his room.

Taehyun rolled his eyes then sighed.

"I'm not falling in love with Beomgyu hyung." He said to himself.

But why is it when he says his name, his heart stops? his whole world stops?

"Or am I.. ?"

"Listen carefully, Kai. You can't possibly think that in a way that you're sabotaging yourself." A classmate of Kai said.

Kai bit his lips then sighed. "I don't think we should call it sabotage. I just want to clarify something."

"Yeah and by that, you're trying to point that he will not like you."

Kai sighed. "Whatever. I'll see you later, Eunchae."

She nodded. "Alright."

Kai walked out of there with a lot of things in his mind. Should he finally confess to the person he love for so long now?

Taehyun is Kai's best friend yet he never name-dropped his love for this person because he is afraid it will not go well.
