Mayday decided to go to a mystical route to try to figure out what happened to them, but April went a completely different route. Instead of going somewhere to enhance her powers, she decided to go somewhere that she could go and try and be rid of her powers. Deciding that the best place to deal with a mutation is the leading expert on mutation, she decided to go and meet with Charles Xavier.
April stood outside of the gate of the school, looking at the edge of the gate where a sign read:
Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters
This time last year, she resented mutants and their gifts. They were what almost killed her when she was a kid, but now that she became one, that seems null and void statement now. Seeing how these powers affected her life on the day she had them, and how worried she has become, she finally saw what it is like to live on the other end.
Walking to the gate, she pushed it open and started to stroll up to the doors. She walked around the garden and was expecting to find a dozen mutants around the yard, but it actually seemed quite empty. Knocking on the doors, she was starting to wonder if there was anyone even there.
The doors then opened, confirming there were indeed still people here, but it wasn't who she expected. It was a young girl seeming to be a few years younger than herself. She had Raven dark hair that went down to her hip and what appeared to be a leather jacket of sorts.
"Who are you?" She asks April.
April was a little confused when she looked over at the kid. "Uh...what's with the school?"
"Closed for the foreseeable future." The girl informed April and gestured to the area. "Having a few renovations. The school paid for everyone to get out for a while."
"And you're here because...?" April was confused why she was still there.
"I live here." She informed April and started to close the door. "Now...bye."
April quickly stopped her from closing the door in her face. "Hey, I wanna see the Professor."
"Make an appointment." She tells April, trying to close the door.
April was confused if this was either her lack of powers or if there was definitely something special about this kid. And that was only confirmed when April accidentally pushed the girl across the doorway and into the wall.
April froze and she quickly ran over and saw the girl was knocked unconscious. She felt her head and saw she wasn't hurt or bleeding, just knocked out.
"Uh...you rest that off. I'm just going to..." April then started to walk away and searched for Charles. "Professor?"
But as she was walking away, the girl suddenly woke back up and growled. She clutched her hands together and something started to come out of her knuckles. April walked her way up the stairs and into the halls of the dorm rooms.
"Professor?" April continued to look around the halls.
But as she was looking, her head started to buzz and her entire head started to warn her something was coming. Then similar to Kraven, she had a flash of something sharp coming at her and piercing her back. Working fast, she quickly dodged the attack and looked down to see two sharp spikes that were about to impale her.
April then slid out of the way whilst the girl from before went flying and skidded against the ground. She stopped and spun around and stretched her arms out, showing off that she had four claws that were coming out of her knuckles.
April was frozen in fear when she saw this. "Uh...is it too late for I'm sorry?"
And it didn't take long for April to be flung across the school and sent flying across the stairway. April screamed as she was flung and slammed into the stairs. When she started to put herself back together, she then heard a scream and watched as the girl came flying at her. April rolled out of the way and the girl impaled into the stairs. April got ready to fight and wasn't entirely sure what she was going to do in this situation. She wasn't a fighter, but she was ready to defend herself.
