-Performing invocation or eucharistic rituals to alter the SCP or endanger the Foundation
Foundation personnel are advised to be on guard and avoid approaching the SCP if it seems unusual or out of the ordinary in any other way.
Description: SCP-22489 are extra-dimensional entities believed to be gods worshipped by the 264 Saint Helenians that reside on the remote islands.
SCP-22489's anomalous effects are currently isolated to the village of Tristan da Cunha, primarily in the forms of SCP-22489-1A, SCP-22489-2A, and SCP-22489-3.
SCP-22489-1 refers to an amalgamation of anomalous creatures¹, though it is habitually perceived as a colossal mammalian-type creature that appears to be a mixture of a wyvern and leopard seal. It has a robust jaw with serrated teeth and two sets of eyes to help spot its prey in or out of the water. Its shark-like fins, large sleek wings, and small areas of webbing make it streamlined for both aerial and subaquatic maneuvers. The SCP also possesses what seem to be paws on its wings, and though it uses these to move upon land, it is very clumsy and somewhat slow.
SCP-22489-2 refers to a colossal mammalian type creature that appears to be a mixture of branded kestrel and african lion. Its head vaguely resembles that of an antelope's with two pairs of ears. It has a crown and rubies embedded in its forehead. A white, horse-like mane stretches down to its shoulders, where its wings and the fluff of its cape meet. The "cape"/"dress" drags down, entirely covering its slender, white tail and a bit of its hind legs. The shape of its wings resemble that of a hummingbird or a gull, and its wing tips end in sharp red and gold decorations. It also has red and gold plating resembling jewelry located on the alula of its wings. SCP-22489-2A Has proven to be quite adept in aerial maneuvers, as well as being very capable of fully galloping. Though, it is far slower on land rather than in air. SCP-22489-2 also has a amalgamation of anomalous creatures listed as SCP-22489-2A - SCP-22489-2L.
SCP-22489-3 are individuals that were born in Tristan da Cunha and up until Foundation intervention, regularly communicated with SCP-22489-1 and SCP-22489-2. All instances of SCP-22489-3 seem to be non-anomalous, however, the overall life expectancy is notably higher than any of the surrounding area.
Discovery: SCP-22489 was originally discovered by a member of Foundation personnel during a holiday trip. They reported seeing two large silhouettes near the islands on day 5 of boat travel, one looming over the land, the other lurking below the water.
Since being discovered, SCP-22489-3 instances can no longer communicate with SCP-22489-1 or SCP-22489-2 without going into a temporary state of paranoia. The paranoia only lasts about 5 minutes, then the affected SCP-22489-3 instance completely forgets about the entire encounter, paranoia and all.
Communication with SCP-22489-2 and SCP-22489-3 proved difficult at first, with both instances refusing to communicate with Foundation personnel. SCP-22489-1 was and still is the most willing to communicate, agreeing to help the Foundation collect any erratic SCP for simple incentives such as "video streaming services", "better internet connection", and "McDonald's chicken nuggets".
