CHAPTER 2: Memories

Vivi's POV

After me and Mystery separated to find Arthur. I went to the kitchen and fixed myself something to eat. In my excitement Arthur went missing. The female humanoid ghost also disappeared, but the little ghosts were just too cute to ignore and we lost where Arthur and the female Spirit had gone.

As I put the finishing touches on my sandwich. I sensed two auras approaching me. Thinking Mystery found Arthur. I ignored them and started eating my quadruple-decker sandwich.

Once I was finished I heard light laughing, that was definitely not Arthur's laugh. I slowly turned around. I saw Mystery who was smiling at me, but the Ghost standing next to him was the one who grabbed my attention. The ghost was different from the last one. This one was definitely male with magenta flame colored hair on his skull and he was looking at me fondly.

I chuckled nervously as I rubbed the back of my head.

Vivi: "I'm sorry, I sort of helped myself to your food. I hope you don't mind, also Mystery I made sure to make you a sandwich too. It's on the counter." I pointed to the triple-decker sandwich on the counter.

Mystery: "Thanks Vivi, I'll take it to give you two some time to talk." Mystery then took the sandwich and was about to leave, but I stopped him.

Vivi: "Mystery did you find Arthur?" Mystery nodded, before I could ask Mystery spoke.

Mystery: "He's fine. The ghost from before is taking really good care of him. Right now he's getting the sleep he deserves. After he finally found both of the people he's been looking and searching for, for the past 4 ½ years. Well I'll be in the next room, if you need me."

Ghost: "I'll have one of my Deadbeats lead you to your room, Mystery. Cuz Vivi will most likely be exhausted afterwards." I look at the ghost in confusion, how does he know who I am and why do I feel like I should know who he is?

Mystery: "Alright, I trust that you two won't try anything stupid. Anyways see you tomorrow morning Vivi, night." I nodded and smiled at him.

Vivi: "Goodnight Mystery." I said waving at him he just nodded and left.

I looked at the Ghost and smiled. I noticed he was looking nervous.

Ghost: "Please follow me." He then started floating away. I just shrugged my shoulders and followed the Ghost out of the kitchen and into the hallway.

He then led me to a sitting room with a fireplace. He sat down on the couch and patted the seat next to him. I sat down next to him.

Ghost: "Well I'm sure you have questions, but I need you to wait until I'm finished. Okay?" I nodded he smiled, or that's what I thought he did.

Ghost: "First off my name is Lewis Pepper and the other ghost is my sister Luna F. Pepper. Now, Vivi tell me what you know about ghosts that have a more humanoid appearance?" I hummed in thought ignoring the headache that came with hearing his name.

Vivi: "Well, I remember reading a book on the supernatural and paranormal. Based on both your and your sister's appearances, I can deduce that you're both vengeful spirits or wraiths. But seeing as you're not hurting me I might be wrong." Lewis chuckled, I looked at him with interest.

Lewis: "You're not wrong, but we'll only hurt the ones responsible for our deaths, tho if we go through with our revenge we'll be sent to hell, but if we let go of our hatred then we'll be allowed to continue living our lives among humans, but we become Supernatural Bounty Hunters for the angels of death. Also we have an anchor that keeps us tethered to the world of, the living. I'm sure you noticed this?" He points to a golden heart locket, that I can see beating like an actual heart.
