Bobbi quietly sat in the corner of her kindergarten class. The only sound coming from her direction was the scratch of crayons on white (soon to be multicolored) printer paper.

On the other side of the room was Michael. He was standing by the cubbies while clutching his stuffed lion to his chest. He never seemed to be without the lion but was never questioned. Intently staring at the girl in the corner with the crayons, he was at war with his thoughts as to whether he should go over and color with her. She doesn't talk much, but she has the crayons.

After a moments hesitation, the pale child made a beeline for Bobbi. His small hands reached for a crayon, but Bobbi's hands reacted quickly and snatched it back "Hey doofus! Don't take my crayons I brought these from home" She stood from her chair as she yelled at the frightened boy.

"I-I'm s-s-sorr" Michael could barely apologize out of fright.

Bobbi had her hand on her hip and the crayon still held tightly in her other palm. She looked up at his hair and scrunched her nose "Why on earth is your hair green?" Michael blushed at her question and shrugged while hugging his lion closer to his chest.

"Oh your lion is cute!" Bobbi petted the stuffed creatures head and smiled, "what's his name?"

"daniel" Michael's words were soft

"hello Daniel I'm Bobbi" the girl glanced up at the taller boy, "can I play with Daniel tomorrow?" Michael nodded and blushed again.
