Seven days went by pretty fast, all me and mama did was go to work, eat, sleep, pray and repeat. It was like a routine i begun to get accustomed to, I started to enjoy the feeling of waking up and being productive, the kind of productive that means I get paid of course.

Growing up, I was never really passionate about anything, but when money is involved I do my utmost best to get things done, I hope that changes soon though.

I have mastered the art of handling a knife and could take on more portions at work and you know what that means? more money! life was going on smoothly, so much that I wished we could settle here and make something for ourselves, but then again nothing goes on forever.

Alice came back to Glosa city on a Saturday evening, looking tired and worn out from her trip, we almost couldn't contain our eagerness for her to settle in before hitting her with the question that have been lingering on our minds ever since she left.

We managed to wait till she picked up her spoon to eat, before mama descended on her, "how was your trip Alice? Hope you met and left your husband well? were you able to locate my sister Mary? Is she fine?" Mama asked in one breath "Yes he is fine, and I relayed your message to Mary, she said you can come over whenever you want to, here's her address" she added passing a sheet of paper I believed contained the address to mama.
"How I wish I could stay over there with my husband...." I heard Alice say to mama, and I took that as my clue to excuse myself.

I left to go do the dishes and hopefully retire to bed on time, but the "whenever you want to" aunt Mary said kept lingering on my mind, it didn't sound inviting to me, but then again it might just be in my head, I dismissed the thought and channeled all that energy into scrubbing the dishes clean.

"We'll be leaving for I city on Sunday morning Trish" mama walked in our room saying "Alice have been too kind to us, I don't want ours to become a case of reaching for a yard after getting an inch" mama said "okay no problem mama" I responded, too tired to pack up our things I set an alarm for 5:30 am the  following day, so I could do that before we hit the road, I laid down on our makeshift bed anxious but looking forward to tomorrow.
