Widows POV
After the Deadlock gang's pitiful attempt at a robbery, I wanted to do nothing more than go home and relax in my bath and just take it easy but of course, Akande wanted me to watch our little hostage to make sure she wasn't going to attempt and escape. When I asked him why he couldn't have Sombra do it he simply said he couldn't find her.
"Fuck me man why is it always me you make do your dirty work I'm not a fucking dog Akande." I glared at him making it known that I was severely pissed at his decision. I grabbed my rifle from my desk where it had been sitting and slung it over my back.
"Amélie must I remind you what I am capable of?" he glared back with a smug and dangerous look on his face. He crossed his arms and stared holes through me waiting for a definitive answer.
I began to walk over to the room where we held the leader of that ridiculous group stooping at the first turn and looking back at Akande. "You know what after this I don't care what your ruling is I will be going home I'm tired of this sad uninteresting place if you wanna stop me I dare you to try." I gave Akande a very pointed glance before turning and making my way to the room where our captive was. He may be the Doomfist but he doesn't scare me, not even one bit.
I could hear Akande chuckling to himself from behind me like he didn't take me as a serious threat. That I guarantee to him is a big fucking mistake and one day I'll prove it to him. I set myself up in the darkest corner of the room with my scope already looked down onto my target waiting for Akande to saunter in and wake her up to begin questioning. I observed her through my scope. She was surprisingly beautiful still considering the state that she is in. Her makeup smeared down her face but I could tell that in its prime it was well applied. Her skin was exuberant and soft looking so much so that I was almost compelled to feel it just to prove that I was correct. Her hair was strewn all around her head and in a genuine mess it still looked silky and I swear that I could smell lavender from here.
Of course, Akande had to walk in and burst my fantasy by punching the nearest wall grabbing a chunk of cement, and hailing it at her body. This woke her up instantly. She jolted awake and began screaming in horror immediately. Akande, obviously displeased, launched one of his needles at her which hit her in the cheek. Her head snapped up at him and all of her beautiful features faded and were replaced with ones of dread and horror as she looked up into Akande's face. Akunde being the cruel-hearted son of a bitch that he is simply smiled wider at the look of absolute fear. His smile was so wide and so deep that I was beginning to wonder if torture was some sort of turn-on for the weird freak.
Finally, the woman spoke in a low and harsh voice "I take it most if not all of my men are dead so why leave me alive?" I mean she had a good point. I didn't even stop to observe the absurdity of the situation. We killed all of her other goons except for their weird omnic friend because Sombra wanted to mess with him. I mean she isn't too much use to us besides being a regular goon and we have plenty. I mean she seems to be a skilled marksman but I'm unrivaled in my field not even that old Egyptian hag could outclass me in a one-on-one.
"Well there is just this nagging suspicion in the back of my mind that tells me that you might be doing this whole thing because the Overwatch organization set you up for it, now am I right?'' Akunde growled at her crouching down to look the woman in the eyes.
"Now why would I work for a group that has tried on multiple occasions to hunt me down and lock me away for the rest of my life?" she hummed in her elegant southern accent.
"Well, I reckon that big ape could have finally caught you, and the fear of being put away for life you negotiated a plan." Akunde did a sideways glance at the girl to see her horrified look still etched on her face. This made his grin grow even more. "Now tell me if I'm wrong, please do but after some solid negotiating you decided that his terms were acceptable and you sent in a group to raid us only that wasn't the true purpose, was it Overwatch just wanted to know where our base was correct?"
The woman sputtered and spat for a bit before choking out her response "First of all I'm not working for Overwatch and I never will I'm not like that loser Cassidy second, of all why the hell aren't I tied down aren't you worried I might run off, third of all I was able to find your base because you happen to have a very large and powerful dumbass that likes to frolic from place to place and he happens to stick out." she once again hummed in her intoxicating accent the more she spoke the more at ease I began to feel.
Akunde sighed at her explanation "Siebren of course that colossal jack-off would be just the one to give away where were located wouldn't he fuckin hell alright well I guess that makes sense and to answer your other questions I figured you might try to run but I know you can't get away for two reasons not even including myself. You're incredibly injured and there's a highly trained sniper aiming at your forehead as we speak." I watched as her eyes darted around the room trying to find where she was being targeted but she was either so badly hurt it was messing with her vision or blind because she never found me.
"You're lying to me there's no one else in this room and there's no doorway or window. You're using scare tactics and it won't work not on me!" she exclaimed proudly, a little too proud it almost made me sad for her.
Akunde chuckled low but hardy before issuing his order to me "Amélie come on out and greet our guest why don't you I'm sure she'll be very happy to meet you." Of course, he used my real name cause why wouldn't he has no fucking sense of emergency whatsoever. I obeyed his order though, knowing what would happen otherwise I slowly stood up from my position and moved out into the light carefully keeping my sights locked on the girl's head to let her know she was in a truly deadly situation.
I didn't think the girl could look more terrified than she already did but man was I wrong as I stepped out of my shadowy cover the look of dread only worsened and spread across her face further drowning out her beautiful and elegant features. No longer was she some pretty girl lying on the floor, she was a terrified woman about to lose her life. "Aw, shit." I heard her say muffled under heavy breaths.
This woman was going to die and she knew it. I could see in her eyes the sheer acceptance of the situation that lay in front of her. She was trapped with no way of escape. "Such a pity all of your skills have gone to waste. I bet your family would hate to see you go and for such a stupid and rash decision too." I mutter out trying to please Akunde in hopes of him letting me get out here and go home with no hassle.
The girl only frowned at my mockery. I expected more but clearly, I wasn't going to get anything out of her right now. "You know the closest thing I had to family was an omnic named Bob but I reckon you've scrapped him for parts by now so no my family won't be sad to see me go they probably won't even notice I'm gone," she said exuding not sadness but loneliness like she didn't want things to end up how they did but it happened nonetheless just like me.
"It's pathetic that you consider that lowly omnic family but It might please you to know that he is still alive for the time although I'm unsure of what kind of state he is in Sombra wanted to play with him so who knows." Akunde flaunted at the poor helpless girl sprawled on the floor. However, looking at her she did not seem sad or upset anymore no she seemed to be smiling. What was there to smile about in this kind of situation?
"That was your biggest mistake yet, Doomfist." She said a grin creeping into the corners of her face so eerily that it couldn't be mistaken for nothing more than malice.
She took a deep breath and screamed: "BOB HELP ME!" and immediately after I heard large heavy fast approaching footsteps but by the time I had turned to ready my rifle the omnic was already upon me. He punched me clean in the jaw, sending me flying across the room and into the right side wall where I got a good view of him tackling Akunde through the back wall where he fell out of the 4th story building we had occupied before grabbing the girl and making a good run for it. That's when my world faded into black and the cold nothingness surrounded me as I lay unconscious in a heap on the floor.
