Old and new friends

Asuna's POV

Kirito and I were walking back to class as I thought of how Eugeo was going to react. The point that Kirito is back into my life. For some reason, Eugeo always seemed to hate just the mention of Kirito. I guess he must have hated the point that he left without any explanation. Even if that's the point, I am sure that he'll understand once he hears Kirito's side of the story.

By the way, Kirito asked me who he is to me and I told him what had happened after he left and how Eugeo became my best friend after him. I saw sadness when I told him how I got in a car accident after he left. I could see regret, pain and sorrow in his eyes. I tried cheering him up but he just gave me a fake smile. I told him it's all in the past and it was never his fault and with that he smiled.

"Kirito?"

"Huh? What's wrong Asuna?" He asked looking worried. He even took ahold of my shoulders and made me face him.

"Thanks for coming back into my life. Some how I always smile when your with me and when I think about you." I said with a smile.

Since he was a few inches taller that me, he put two fingers under my chin and pulled it up so our eyes were looking at each other. "I'll never leave you again and I also have to thank Eugeo for helping you and staying by your side during tough times." He said with a serious face. His breath was so hot and smelled so nice. His fingers were so soft.

" Yeah and I am a terrible friend."I said looking down while his fingers were still under my chin.

"Why do you say that? You are the best of the friends I have ever had." He said trying to make me look at him.

"I wasn't there during your tough time." I said with sadness. Suddenly he hugged me and I immediately hugged back.

"It wasn't your fault Asuna. I am just happy I can touch you again. After Ten years, I finally get to touch you. I am so so happy." He said.

"I am happy too Kirito." I smiled .

"Let's go to class." With that, he broke the hug.

We open the door to the class and all eyes immediately fell on us. Even Eugeo looked at us but he was so angry. I looked at Alice trying to calm him down. We went to our seats. I sat down next to Eugeo and Kirito sat down besides me and Eugeo gave him a death stare. If looks could kill, Kirito would be six feet under.

I send a sweet smile to Eugeo to ensure him I am okay. He just gave me a sweet smile and looked towards the teacher who just got in.

"So you guys need to get into your fighting amore. Yes I said that when you do your second year , you'll be focusing on you talents and  more on you family elemental power. But focusing on your elemental power means you have to fight and learn to take control on you inner power. So now, hop to it and get into you amore. You'll get the amore in the simulation room. " Our cool teacher, Mrs Northwill said.

All the students headed to the simulation room except for me, Eugeo, Alice and Kirito. I had told them to stay. Well, actually I didn't tell them. I eyed for them to stay behind.

"You guys shouldn't be late." Mrs Northwill said and with that she closed the door.

There was an uncomfortable silence in the room. Honestly I liked it. I mean who wouldn't when the know they have to say yet they know they have to say something?

"So....guys.... I've told you about Kirito." What? What can you say if you have nothing to say?

"Kirito came back and I was hoping that  you guys can be friends." I smiled hopefully.

" As much as I'd love to Asuna,I can't be friends with the person who hurt you."
Eugeo said anger in his voice.

" Look Eugeo, I know you don't like me and I understand why. I'd like to thank you for being there with her. For saving her ten years. For keeping her when her parents went on a business trip. For being there through her tough times. Thank you." Kirito said. I really wasn't expecting him to thank Eugeo, even if he did say he would.

I looked from Kirito then to Eugeo who was standing up while the rest of us were seated. finally I looked over to Alice who was looking at the fingers she was playing with on the table. I saw her smile. What is she thinking about?

I think she noticed that I was looking at her with pleading eyes because she looked at me with hopeful eyes. Just then she stood up and went to Kirito. She touched his shoulders. Kirito looked up at her and she gave him a smile.

" Eugeo-kun, I think you should give him a chance and hear him out. You said you want to see Asuna happy and if this makes her happy then you should give him a chance. In any case, Kirito was Asuna's best friend before you and there must have been reasons for him leaving. "

I think that's the longest I have ever heard Alice talk to Eugeo. I looked over to Eugeo and saw him looking at his feet.

"Do whatever you want to but I am not becoming friends with him." He ran to the door and opened it.

"He's Asuna's friend, not mine." With that he slammed the door.

Does this mean he's gonna start hating me? I don't want to lose him. I felt tears build up in my eyes. Why do I always end up losing everything? Why me? Why? Eugeo please don't leave me. Please. I don't want to lose my old and new.

Kirito's POV

I saw tears stroll down Asuna's cheeks. I had done this and I am going to fix it because I can see that Eugeo means a lot to Asuna. He has spend more years with her more than I have. He probably knows everything about her................ Everything I don't.

"I'm sorry Asuna." I said.

"For what?" She asked moving her tears.

" For hurting you again." I stood up and opened the door.

"I'll fix it. I'll make sure he doesn't leave you." With that I left the room.
