The alarm on my phone sound's letting me it time to get up and ready for school, I groan out annoyed so ready for this school year to be over even though it's only the second week of school. But luckily for me it's my senior year and once this year is over I don't want to ever have to see a school again. Sluggishly I get up from my bed going into the hallway bathroom to take care of my hygiene and shower, after I'm finish I go back to my room to get dressed (A/N: the outfit above) then I put all of my books and folders I'll need for today classes inside my backpack. I grab my phone and AirPods then I head downstairs to have breakfast with my mom, she's a LPN at a nursing home and she works the night shift most times she works 12+ hours but she still makes it a point to have breakfast with me before school and have conversation with each other.
"Good morning mom" I greet her with a kiss on her check just as she finished plating our breakfast, I'm happy that she made my favorite this morning: homemade French toast sticks, a side of cut up pineapple and strawberries, scrambled eggs with extra extra cheese, and orange juice. She couldn't even turn around fully before I take my plate from her hand and go over to the dinner table digging into the food immediately.
"Slow down sweetie your food isn't gonna run away, so how are you liking school so far?" She asks sitting at the table herself eating her breakfast
"Eh it's just another school year I'm just glad it my last year" I say eating my eggs
"Have you been thinking about college?" She asks
I roll my eyes in annoyance she asks the same question everyday and I understand that she want me to do good for myself but I've literally been in school for 12 years I need a break, and plus it's other ways to make money without going to college. Now I'm not saying I want ever go to college or I may not change my mind but for now it's a no.
