I put the finishing touches on my makeup as I'm getting ready to meet my idol Nicki Minaj. Tonight she's performing at rolling loud here in my city and my best friend (Megan) and I are going. I've never had the opportunity to see her while she was on tour but tonight I will make up for it, I made sure my outfit makes me look like the bad bitch I am and my hair is slayed. I get a text on my phone and Meg tells me she's outside, I check myself out in the mirror one last time and spray on perfume before grabbing my purse and leave out the door.
The drive to the event was filled with us rapping Nicki song's practicing and making sure we know every song word for word, once we arrived to the event it took us some time to find a parking space but once we did we immediately jumped out and walked to the stage Nicki will be performing at. I've never been to a rolling loud before and it's sooo many people crammed in one space, I absolutely don't do large groups of people but for Nicki I'll put up with it for the time being.
Originally Meg and myself was far from the stage and that wasn't sitting well for me, I didn't come all the way here to stand far away from the stage so the two of us pushed our way to the front. Yes some people were mad and yes some even wanted to fight, but did we care? Hell No because now we're standing comfortably in the front row!
Fast forward to the moment Nicki came out the anticipation was high as the stage lights dimmed, then the music of WGU played and I and the rest of the crowd lost our minds. Nicki walked on stage and we got even louder, she looked flat out stunning! So much so I pull out my small portable camera I carry around and snap a couple photos while she's performing.

We were jamming out enjoying ourselves as Nicki performs hit after hit she even walked past me a few times and made eye contact with me for about 3 seconds. I almost died right then and there.
"Rolling Loud how y'all feeling tonight?!" Nicki asks the crowd and we scream out as a response.
"For this next song I need a couple of bad bitches to the stage right now!"
We all lose our minds and jump around waving our arms trying to be chosen. Nicki looks around and randomly picks fans before she turns to my side of the stage and picks more people. Then the unexpected happens!
She walks directly in front of me and stops then points at me
"I want you up here right now" she says in that bossy New York accent
Once again I almost drop to my knees and died "Me?" I ask just to make sure
"Yes you! Is that your homegirl ?"
"YESS BICH!!!!" Megan screams out in my ear beside me
"Bring her up here with you" she says then she moves on to picking a few more people
A big muscular security guard comes over and help us over the railing and lead us up on the stage. Megan, myself, and the other fans on stage are now waiting for whatever Nicki will have us doing next. Basically we will be doing a twerk contest to SFG then afterwards she will pick three winners and the winners will win 100 dollars.
I quickly rank through my mind of what I could do that'll make me stand out from the other's, an idea comes to mind and I look over seeing Meg already looking at me with a knowing look and I can tell we have the same thought in mind. Me and her have this routine that we've been dying to try just waiting for the perfect opportunity.
First we started off just twerking and having fun gradually going into the routine I do a twerk with one leg in the air just playing around then Meg crawls into position. I climb over her and throw it in a circle over her while she throws it while on her hands. The people around us hype us up as we finish up going into doing the patty cake, the song we would usually do this to is at a faster tempo then SFG so a lot of the dances was improvised and made up on the spot. But overall we were just having fun and enjoying this once in a lifetime opportunity.
"Whoa Whoa Stop The Music! Ok y'all definitely won!" She hands us both a crisp hundred dollar bill before randomly handing a couple others money.
"Thank you guys, you all did great I got one more song to do so I need y'all to exit that side of the stage." She says then calls a security guard over and points in our direction while telling him something in his ear. Because she didn't say whatever she said in the mic I couldn't hear or make out what she said.
We all are escorted off the stage to the backstage area before Megan and myself are led in another direction from everyone else, immediately my antennas goes off but because we won the contest I'm thinking that maybe she'll take a picture with us later to post on her social media.
We walk inside a room and it's set up all nice and pretty it has drinks and snack set up nicely on a table and pink flowers on the other. Megan and I check ourselves and do small touches to our look before Nicki comes back.
She ends the show with Moment 4 Life and soon after she comes in with her entourage and seeing her this close me and Megan both scream in excitement.
"Hi guys!"
"Omg hi we love you so much!" Megan says
"Aw thank you babe. You both did great out there have y'all been practicing?" Nicki ask between the both of us but looks at me
"I guess you can say that, it's just something we've done when we were bored" I say shyly
"Well it was really dope do you two dance?" She asks
"Oh no I'm a nurse" Megan answers
"And I do photography" I say next
"Ouu photography I might have to contact you after this" she says
I blush just thinking about being able to work with Nicki. After our conversation she takes a picture with us and she shares a glass of champagne with us before we were politely asked to leave. Before leaving though she asks for my contact information so she can book me for a photo shoot, everything is happening so fast it's hard to tell if I'm dreaming or not but I give her my phone number before parting ways.
