Toni's pov:

I was horribly afraid.
Afraid to lose someone I love so much.

The nurses just put them on their on the stretcher and were running to the ambulance and the people tried to help her before they arrived.
I felt so bad. I just sat there, looked at the situation and cried. I didn't even help.

She passed out. I don't know if she's even breathing anymore.
They reanimated her, unsuccessfully.. I guess.

They just kept yelling and yelling while the police was stopping the party and made space for her.

„I wanna go with her." I hopped into the ambulance and saw how the nurses committed to reanimate her again, and they gave her artificial respiration.

„Who are you?" The man looked at me. He was stressed.

„I am her girlfriend and you will not drive without me." I swallowed and he gave me a place to sit.

„Thank you." I took some deep breaths.

„Don't move, don't try to look and try to calm yourself down. You won't help her with being stressed and emotional around her. Remember, we are the nurses, we know what to do."

I nodded and hold my hands together and closed my eyes. I prayed. I prayed that she will live, no matter what it will take.
And I prayed, that we will find out what happened.

„Keep going, I hear a heartbeat." Someone said and I lifted my head.

„Is she breathing?" I asked stressed out, „Is she breathing?!"

„Sit down!" Another woman, from the police pushed me back in place by my shoulder.
I looked at her, „Is she breathing?"

„No. But she has a heartbeat again." She kneeled down, „can you please tell me what happened?"

„I- I don't know!" I looked down, „She hold her chest and started to yell in pain. Then she kneeled down and- everything happened so fast."

„Okay. It may be an Alcohol poisoning?"

„That's impossible, she wasn't drinking a lot! Only some cups."

„She's breathing!" Someone shouted and glanced a quick look to me.

„Can you hear me?"
They repeated, holding her cheeks.

I stood up, holding her hand while standing next to her.
It was hard keeping the Balance.
I saw how the man from earlier glared at me, he basically told me not to move out of my given place.. but, she's breathing.

„We are losing her." They shouted.

The car stopped and the doors got pulled opened when I was pushed to the side.
Immediately, the nurses pulled the stretcher out and began to run into the building.

As I was standing up, someone hold my arm.

„You need to come with me to answer some questions." she said.

I furrowed my face, „Definitely not now." I pulled my arm back and ran behind the nurses.

All of them walked around her, I couldn't even take a glance.

Then they rushed through a door and..

„You can't go in there." Someone hold my chest
and pushed me back, „you're not allowed."

„She is my girlfriend." I shouted, getting mad.
Why isn't it allowed for me to enter?
I'd be quiet.

„They will inform you when they know something. For now you will have to wait here."

I sighted, and took some steps back. I couldn't believe what just happened.
I mean.. what happened?

„Um, where's the next bathroom?"

„Down the hall." She said.

I thanked her, and made my way down the hall.

Just when I saw the door, with a woman painted on, I entered the bathroom.
I felt weird. Like there wasn't anything inside of me.

I washed my dry tears away, and looked into the mirror.
I saw how the water laid on my lashes and all I was hoping for, was for Cheryl to be okay.

I took some paper towels and scrubbed them over my face. Then I went out.

I walked towards the place I came from. Letting my arms swing beside me.

I was so tired. I didn't sleep a lot the last night.

„Do you know something?" I looked at the woman, who shook her head.

„M." I hummed and sat back down.

Just then, Sweet pea ran towards me.
"What happened!!" He came and hugged me.

I hugged him back, „I don't know... I just hope she's alright."

My eyes kept closing. I wanted to sleep so badly.
I sat there for 3 more hours.

„Hello? Are you Toni Topaz?" A nice looking woman through the doors and I immediately stood up straight.

„I am." I exhaled, „Please tell me she's alive."

„Please take a seat." she answered and I sat down quickly.

When she sat down, she told me that's Cheryl is living, but not breathing by her own.

"Can you tell me what exactly happened? From the start."

„Yeah. Of course." I started, „We went to the party, then she went to get some drinks and came back with them. After a while we went outside where she drank more, but she wasn't drunk."

„What did she drink?" She asked.

„I don't know what she put into her cups, but i assume vodka and orange juice." I tried not to sound as stressed as I was.

„That's all she drank?" She asked.

„Um.." I thought, „Oh, she also drank something her friend Veronica gave her."

„What was it?"

„I don't know! Why do you need to know all this?"

„Cheryl has been poisoned."

„What?"

"Yes, it was Ethylene glycol. It caused her the pain and soon after a heart failure."

I absolutely lost my mind, "what?!"

"She's okay by now, do you live with her?"

"Not regularly, but she's always with me, sometimes I'm at her place."

"Okay, do you have the number of one of her parents?"

"Yes, I do." I replied and gave her the number of Cheryl's mother.

"I will be calling her, you can go inside."

"Wait.. what does it mean for her?"

"She will be Fine. No smoking, no alcohol, a low sodium and fat diet."

"Thank you." I gave her a small sad smile and went into the room.
